Was Coolmore's reiteration of their love of the Derby a dig at Bolger and his unusual comments?

Also, in these days when speed is supposed to be evrything, the worlds most skilful breeding operation still puts the great middle distance race on a pedestal

Maybe its sentiment...but thats not usually the coolmore style is it?

It's about not alienating breeders who use their stallions and hold the Derby dear. They would have no reason to be saying it to have a dig at Bolger who often sells them horses.
