perfectly fine first run. he looked to have a little condition.

still not sure i'd back him for the CH. wishing i'd done the 8/1 double of him winning today and the CH. kempton vs the new one will be interesting.
 
Better than workmanlike, EC1.....there was never a moments doubt, and he ran on nicely enough when shaken-up.

Love that stat of yours. :D

MR didn't run his race though..was under pressure 1 mile out:blink:

that stat will keep your HF admiration going i tell you ..just cross this one off the CH list;)

Next is the Xmas hurdle winner..cross that one off
 
Convincing enough FTO especially when many NJH horses have needed a run. What the fook was going on at the start

I thought he was impressive as he clearly appeared to be carrying a bit of condition and handled the moderate pace well . It was a stop start pace at Cheltenham - Ruby went off very quick, moderated it down the back and took off again and the advantage he pinched won him the race and was why MTOY had little left as he had to make much effort getting to him.

just saying "it was stop start" doesn't mean anything to me...the actual time between each hurdle tells the story..anything judged by eye is guesswork imo
 
I would have prefered to see him travel more smoothly. Hes just a little short of being as straighforward as i would like. In a battle with the new one i know which i would rather be on.

Grumeti ran very well until blowing up. That wasnt unexpected after so long off. Will be closer next time
