I suppose you ALL remember those I had to get COL the board owner to ask him if I was breaking board rules.. he came on here and said certainly NOT so how is your interpretation superior to the boards owner??

The same guy A/C regularly puts open swear words on here but is never chastised for it and threads are left to stand, what about the watershed regards children UNDER the age of 15, that view these posts and COLS own children too.

I feel the there are DOUBLE STANDARDS being applied by the board moderators.....

There’s AN!!! (excuse the pun :D ) old adage that a moderator(ZORRO) ought to take on board ......

So the main protagonist in deleting my threads is ARDROSS (ZORRO) no one else bothers to delete them as I term them in the boundaries of the boards rules no swear words either, unless put down as such p...o.. but by the very same token I am not going to be spoken to or attacked AND CALLED ALL SORTS OF SLEAZY NAMES, without a response back either, by anyone on this board, and then I find MY threads in response are deleted but the attackers threads are left to stand AND no swear words by me either........... VERY STRANGE REALLY AINT IT.........



I have as stated(on a previous thread) asked for a STEWARDS INQUIRY :D (HORSE RELATED SITE SEE :lol:) to the BOARDS OWNER COL to get a better system other than ZORRO just taking sides which I have proved with the information I collated prior to it being deleted by him!! ZORRO and he defending the person who attacked me because I put this joke on line.........

p.s. you would not say things to my face as you would get a very positive response back I can assure you, so don't masquerade behind a qwerty board and think your superior to others its deemed as someone being very arrogant so I hope you learn by your mistakes????

Merlin it does seem very odd indeed that some people seem to want you to go whilst at the same time they want Swirly back.

Bit like banning foxhunting and 'legalising' cannabis.

I'm in favour of banning foxhunting and legalising cannabis - I don't see that either view is incompatible with the other.

I don't believe anyone is trying to get Merlin to stop posting. I, personally, do not take offence at any specific postings of his. Viewed in isolation, many are quite humorous. Some of them do veer into the realms of the -isms, and when they do, I see no reason for this not to be challenged by those who do take offence. This particular joke is fairly innocuous, but is one of a long series on a related theme.

I don't hold with the "if you don't like it, don't read it" arguement. That's like saying "if you don't like the Ku Klux Klan, don't join the parade". I think people have every right to challenge a posting of questionable taste, just as the poster has every right to defend it. Possibly trying to defend the content and context of the posting would make a more reasonable arguement than the "everyone picks on Merlin" one.

Surely we can't ban the Ku Klux Klan (what do you mean they already have), that would potentially result in the loss of thousands of jobs at a certain cigarette manufacturer, not to mention the carpenters who build the crosses, the tailors who make those nice white suits......
 
Look, I use to think An was a right prat at times (no offence An, as I know the feeling was mutual!) and yet I am now growing to quite like him now (not mutual I am sure)!

Merlin, sit tight long enough and you may see what I mean! We will never all be best buddies on this forum, but I am sure we can all tolerate each others humour to an extent..... even Merlins! :D
 
I am reluctant to post on this thread as everytime I do I am speared by the rapier sharpness of Merlin's lightening wit and repartee. (His epigrams remind me most of Oscar Wilde, but have also a dash of the isolation and poignancy that is found in the later work of his great compatriot, Max Boyce, oh sorry, I meant Dylan Thomas.)

No doubt I have more coming to me, but it's a good day as Kathy likes me and I have reduced her to 118 now on my 'Walking Demon' scale. A rare example of somebody being cut twice in the same week

So back to the 'don't read if you don't want to', I agree that this is the best advice. The trouble with it though is considerable, namely:

1. It's all in f*ckin yellow and looks like a Simpsons episode.
2. It screams at you in capital letters.
3. It flows through every thread, like shite through a pipe.

What am I to do?
 
1) Have Merlin fed limb by limb to the foxes? :confused:

2) Have Merlin stuffed and stick a stake in him (with a relevant comment NOT in yellow )and leave him outside Brighton Conference Centre in protest? :rolleyes:

or finally,

3) Go sheep shagging with Merlin for the weekend and see if you can find a common bond? (so to speak) :blink:

Merlin is quite possibly the most boring poster on here. Not because of the content but his constant capitals and emoctions. Not to pention his persicuiation complex.

Its me being attacked for putting jokes on here by Solerina, A/C, so can't see it justifies the comments its brought and as stated if someone is having a go @ me for NO reason OTHER THAN THREADING/POSTING JOKES well I need to defend myself as I have not broken ANY BOARD RULES...

I think there are too many perfectionists on this site! What difference does it make if someone adds one too many ' o 's. We can all fall prey to the odd spelling mistake here and there, can't wee! :lol:
 
What's this fecking Tomato season . as I understand tomatoes have their season in a matter of months so HELLO MERLIN I have been on the site for 2 yrs , cut that newbie stuff right now . Alot of what you post is offensive to alot of people here and it's about time you realise how far off field you are . When I first joined here I thought you were kind and helpful but after you voiced your opinions on asylum seekers and gay persons I saw an unwelcome new side to you . When I challenged you with this the only response you had was " I've been here 7 yrs " Opinions such as yours regards Asylum seekers or Homosexuals are not welcome . Aside from that I havn't bothered with you these last few days so don't even attempt to play games with me .It's not very entertaining :rolleyes: As for you having a go at AC . Surprising isn't it that you only have a problem with those who force you to address your issues .
