If anybody wants to buy 2 tics to the Killers (Marley Pk, 21st, €70 ea) and can meet to pick them up in Sth Co Dublin tomorrow, PM me.

Pity you did not text me yesterday. I was on the lash with two mates in the city and was looking for a ticket. I would even have escorted your daughter with the spare ticket.

I was at the concert, have to say i was slightly dissappointed...and i didnt get to meet an capalls daughter either, so a wasted trip really...

Will you people kindly stop referring to an Capall's daughter. She is far too good for the lot of you. She is from the better hald of Dublin after all.

Just a question on Concerts in General. Last nights gig for example, say 20,000 tickets @ €70 a pop, thats €1.4million, plus other revenue such as merchandising, money from the various fast food outlets and bars etc....all adds up to quite a sum for an evenings work...

What i want to know is what way it is broken down? For example, how much would The Killers take home as a band for their performance, and also Block Party and the first warm up act Louise XIV??

I know there is expenses etc regarding promotion and security to be taken into account but i have always wondered...

€5 a pint when I was there for the Oasis gig. Overheads are massive, everyone gets a cut. I'll take a wild guess that The Killers would net €200K pre tax but I'm the wrong person to ask. How much of that 200K The Killers would actually get afer paying evryone involved in the band is anyones guess.

I'd bet the band gets a bit more than that - commercial festivals in the UK allegedly pay £2m - £3m for a headliner.

Same price for the pints last night Ger. They know how to cover their costs!! I had a figure around 300k in my mind for some reason. Not bad work if you can get it i suppose.

Surely there are much cheaper escorts round the city than AC's daughter?

I commented to a mate that I'd heard Newbury paid £100k to Boyzone to do their hour long gig and I couldn't quite believe that - he is well connected to Newmarket and he said "are you sure they were that cheap??"

Lunacy - who'd pay that sort of money for a bunch of hasbeen, quite frankly uncomfortably disturbing late 30 somethings who are allegedly girly pinups but are far camper than a row of tents??

True of course, Shads, but I'd say you could hardly have turned a sweet in your mouth in the bar that night, whereas I heard yesterday's attendance was just shading 2,000. Pathetic state of affairs maybe, but true nonetheless.

Without trying to sound homesexual, if a bird asked me to go to see a Take That or Boyzone concert I would gladly attend it. Its a very "couple" thing to do. The bird wants to revist the inner child inside her and the bloke wants to put a child inside her.

Everyones a winner....

1. You might not wish you had won that particular race 9 months later.
2. You fag.
3. I would probably attend if it meant getting some casual action.

1. Get a sense of humour
2. No smoking around the child
3. Gary Barlow brushing your hair?

1. No response needed.
2. A bit of smoke never did a baby any harm.
3. I sacked Barlow a while back. Robbie Williams brushes for me now. While dancing around me chair stroking his manly chest hair. Naked of course.

1. Lack of a response shows a homophobic tendency
2. Smoking in pregnancy leads to an increased risk of spontaneous abortion, haemorrhaging during pregnancy, premature birth and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (cot death).
3. His chest hair is not manly, him being naked makes the image easier...

1. You are so, like, immature, ZOMG!
2. You've got a point there.
3. If I told you he was wearing stillettos whilst stroking a pink whip in his left hand, what would that do to the image?
