Did you know that after an advance screening, several MGM executives, including L B Mayer allegedly, suggested that "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" be cut from "The Wizard Of Oz"? It was only after Arthur Freed, who was an uncredited production assistant on the film, dug his heels in that they kept it in. The rest is history...
