Anyone see it last night. We thought that it was brilliant.

Good to see the old programme spruced up and modern looking.
 
I watched it too and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was nice to get a glimpse of the psyche of the doctor too with his comments about how he fought in the war but couldn't save them all. I thought it was an excellent start.
 
It was an excellent program. At last something worth watching on Saturday night!!!!

With a name like that she should have got on well with one of Chris Evans's footballing friends......
 
I must admit after stopping myself watching the leaked copy a few weeks back, I'm glad I did (as it was missing some effects).
Was much better than I expected, and more surprisingly was 'the dreadful Billie Piper' actually being quite good :)
Looking forward to next week now

Am I the only one who thought it was garbage. Billy Piper and Ecclestone acted okay but the whole thing was utter cr*p.
 
For the girlies, appearing in a couple of episodes will be the GORGEOUS :P John Barrowman. He can't act and hopefully won't be under a rubber suit and a ton of makeup, but boy is he good to look at! :D
 
I'm another who didn't like it very much, and I thought the acting was pretty poor, especially the two youngsters.

I agree the shop dummies were feeble.

Maybe it'll improve, and no doubt there was a bit of "scene setting", but I doubt I'll be watching it again.
 
We were pleasently surprised, hubby was never in doubt about it, me not to sure but I really quite enjoyed it. even Billy (said through gritted teeth) Piper was so much better than expected. I for one will be watching next week (when's it on again) :D
 
I enjoyed it - tut tut Mark EE and Venusian the shop dummies were Autons who appeared many moons ago in a Jon Pertwee series .

Some arse in the Guardian suggested the idea was stolen from Kraftwerk . I think the Autons preceded the Kraftwerk video !

The problem was as an opening episode it did not have much time for development and although there were lots of back ward references linking the Autons back to their earlier incarnation would have been a good idea .
