The Novice Hurdlers

I only saw the closing stages but the ground looked like it didn't suit him at all. He could improve dramatically on good ground (does need to)

Agreed not impressive but plenty of improvement to come I reckon

There needs to be as he was getting 13lb from the 50/1 second and I doubt the improvement will come soon enough for the Triumph

I think it was an absolutely insane purchase at €1.4 million. He just isn't a natural hurdler -I would be more optimistic about his prospects as a flat horse.

Lady Bamford should be renamed Lady Bampot...what was she thinking forking out that kind of money?

According to Henderson “ He will be going Flat racing and he is a potential stallion, we’re just having a bit of fun.” so on that basis it’s maybe not such a daft price.

It takes a good horse to beat Wolf Moon - after all, only six managed it in the Maiden Point at Mollington Wolf Moon ran in last May.

Palladium's German Derby form hasn't worked out too well, he was last himself (albeit to Rebels Romance) subsequently and I must admit my thoughts are: well sold at the price, today's form meaningless in terms of Pattern Jumps races, woukd have to be the worst Hardwicke ever and run in an unseasonal June quagmire for him to win it and likely to end up a Jumps sire, who at least won over Jumps, but not at any sort of meaningful level.
