The Road to the Rest of Newmarket

Was waiting on the first couple of races at the track to see about the ground, but it doesn't look to be worse than good. I'm beginning to think the horse might just be getting a bit wise to this racing lark, but he essentially has the conditions I think he needs, a big field and a likely strong pace. I think there's a chance he was in front too soon at Goodwood and he certainly travelled as if capable of winning off this mark.

I short, a 5-length win wouldn't surprise me, nor would a 25-length defeat. I'll be pig sick if he won unbacked and Jedi looks short enough given the rise for a winning relatively poor race at Chester.
 
they are saying ground is still fast

it won't win though..just bunged 20 on it :lol:

its down in class and rating - gets the strong pace - ground fine..that last run is best ignored..performed just like a plodder does when put in a slow race..the best bit is that 3lb got knocked off for that run
