Good news 8lb well in, bad news trainer said at Cheltenham last weekend he thought the horse had had a hard race at Cheltenham in October and only ran it on the regular work rider's say so. Wasn't sure it would run this weekend so you have to assume the work rider's put in a good word again and I guess the 8lb might be the reason he's risking it. Don't think it's as cut and dried as you think Paul, hope it wins for you though.

Haydock 2.25 tomorrow. First Assignment will **** up and is currently 6/4.

Very brave, Maruco, and I hope he wins for you regardless of what I bet myself as you'll almost certainly have a tank more on than I will on my own selection.

The runner-up was raised a pound so in theory FA should have been raised a further 7lbs but the handicapper has 'penalised' him a further 5lbs for however much he's deemed FA may have had in hand. We don't know how hard a race he had regardless of how easy it looked.

I'd be shiting myself if I had a big bet on at short odds but, as I say, I'll be cheering him on for you if mine is out of the equation!

Apologies, Maruco, I was forgetting he was only carrying a 5lbs penalty tomorrow so is officially well in but I still have reservations.

DOG was running a nice race, looked extremely well in himself, jumping fine, then makes a horrendous error, as if he was the equine version of Stevie Wonder. I think I will go all-in on Dingo Dollar next Saturday, which amounts to about £38 each way, (if that). :)

Good call Tanlic. Took 2/1 in running at the 9th fence. Got lucky when the horse came down in front of him just after that.

Whither Slimbo?

Scofflaw (5.20CH) was reluctant to race lto, and his jockey had to chivvy him along for much of the contest. However, the addition of a first-time visor, the substantial drop in class, and the booking of Adam Kirby, should all help furnish a better performance today. 7/1 generally.

Cheers, Danny - do hope some on here backed it.

Simmo
Do hope you're right, as he's been good for this forum over the years.

Reet
I followed on Betfair on a very poor rural connection and the lat thing I saw was a price in running of 36 iirc.I lost connection and didn’t bother to reconnect. Pleasant surprise when I logged in at home to back City tonight, hope rather than expectation.Thanks.

That’s a cracking call Reet. Not the type of race I’d ever bet in but maybe if I’d seen this earlier today...

I had resolved not to bet before Cheltenham but wavered on Saturday - being unable to muster the will power to resist the 'Carry On Treble.' Fcuk You Too cost me €2,400.

Diocletian (6.45K)
Reckon he's being trained for AW finals day, and he'll need to bump his rating quite a bit to qualify. 10/3 best

Apologies guys, poor ride off a none too searching pace, imo, but worth following under a more capable pilot.
Come back Slimbo - all is forgiven!
