It is Grownups - I didn't think that anything could be worse or less funny than Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps but I was wrong . The writer of both these execrable offerings should be sent to the gulag .

Any other candidates ?

What? Eastenders?

The soap opera beloved of millions because however bad things are in their own lives they'll never be as miserable and humourless as that lot?

I'd go with Big Brother too. I watched it religiously the first two or three years, now I can barely watch 5 seconds of it without wanting to go all Travis Bickle in the house.

I think the topic would be easier to address if we considered the 'good' shows. I only watch Sport, Documentaries or the West Wing - so I can't help with an opinion on the others, although I sense that Desert Orchid may be correct.

Watch less TV, James...

Or, of course, do as I do and only watch pre-recorded programmes - if they're shite, delete 'em - if you've missed something good live, you'll be none the wiser - if you fall asleep before the end of the prog (odds on to happen as far as I'm concerned if I watch anything after 9pm) then you don't miss out on the denoument.

Simple !

Being Summer, who wants to watch TV ? enough time in the 6 months of Winter if you are unable to escape to warmer climes.

I caught about two minutes of this after watching something else - as Colin pointed out 2minutes was long enough to see it was utter bilge with one of the worst canned laughter soundtracks I have ever heard

On the plus side Grownups does star Sheridan Smith, for whom I have a bit of a thing.
