They Don't Mess About On Trf

I read GAMBLE and find him very entertaining, but,as hard a read as THE DOWNING STREET YEARS.

Muttley, Gamble is hysterical. Please send him my regards next time your paths cross! I know he is not everybodies cup of tea, but he is a really lovely person and has another totally different persona outside the one he shows on the forum. A thoroughly likeable chap and god, can he pen a tale when he wants too! :D

I will remind the Forum, proudly, that my banning from trf was the original and the best.
Wrong....

She certainly was.

What a really sad and disturbing claim to fame.

Dayna was the reason Daylight made new members supply their home addresses in order to gain membership.

I'm a member of both forums and once incurred the wrath of many here by stating on TRF that I regarded TRF as the Arkle of racing forums with all other forums Quixall Crossett by comparision.

Had I made the comment here I would have understood the ''anger,'' had it occurred to me anyone here would be sensitive to what one person's opinion was, I would have understood the ''consternation.''

As I made it at TRF and had no such moment of revelation I was - and am -somewhat bemused.

I'm a big fan of TRF but I also like this forum - it's membership is smaller than TRF's, but it has a flavour of its own.

Both forums are entitled to set their own rules and enforce them as they wish.

Here, it seems I can type ''TRF'' without breaking the rules.

But I can't type ''TH'' at TRF without breaking the rules.

That neither makes TRF right and TH wrong, nor makes TH right and TRF wrong - their respective owners pay the bills and may do as they wish.

Or am I being too boringly reasonable?

I'm getting tired of all this 'nonjudgmentalism' and I want to see hard, fixed, and rigid rules enforced instantly and, if necessary, with extreme prejudice. Of course it makes TRF not only wrong, it makes it bigoted, biased, censorious, nannying and dictatorial. It tells you who you can read about and who you can't. It should be stamped on with an iron boot without delay. That's how we do things in a free, democratic society!

I for one am in complete agreement with CRAIG he obviously knows that he presiding over a pile of manure and needs an iron fist regime to frighten them into line.

Of course,as in any dictatorial regime, there are "cronies" who can get away with anything,as long as they kiss ass at irregular intervals.

:D :D :D :D :D

What a load of whingers.
The basics are easy,if you cannot use a forum with out respect for other members then maybe you shouldn't use them. From what I gather on TRF and TH, respect is a golden rule. Is that too much to ask?

They don't mind banter on TRF but when it starts to get personal as it sometimes did in the chatroom, action needs to be taken. Abusive phone calls are unacceptable, so what did you lot expect Daylight to do? I have managed to find both forums (Here and TRF) very good, but, Talking Horses is not without its faults. I've read someone referred to it as "like walking into someone elses living room".

I will sit on the fence on this though i haven't mentioned TH on TRF (normally use terms such as "other forums" though not by judgement) and don't mention TRF on here though i'm sure those who frequent both forums know i'm Irish Stamp on both.
The chatroom on TRF is good though - not much racing chat but it's still good.

oh yes DIMINUENDO you are very correct in your assumption and a few!! just a few on here, ought to take it on board also..................... :o

If its personal and outside of the boards parrameters...... well out!! them!!! simple aint it.............. :o :P

There is something far wrong with people if freedom of speech rights are tampered with.

The very fact that you cannot mention this forum (Quixall to its friends) on The Racing Forum is bizarre and smacks of the way BBC and ITV used to carry on all those years ago.

Calling someone of African descent a nigger is wrong, for many reasons, one of the main ones being the racist hatred that comes with the saying of the word.

That sort of censorship is welcomed as it serves a positive purpose.

Remind me again why Daylight does not allow his members to say "Talking Horses"?
