My first topic on This and That is about people who run forums. I'm sure that this forum is properly moderated, as all good forums are But some people who take on the running of a forum and then find that they've no time to moderate it or give it 100% commitment, well they would surely need some help from forumites who read every word and can give constructive criticism, yes? Er, no. It seems that you will just get banned and be called childish because the receiver of said constructive criticism can't be arsed to check on what you are pointing out to them and just sees you as a pain.
It would really be great if everyone got along with each other on forums and there was no need for moderation, but that will never happen. So I would say to anyone wanting to take on the responsibility of running a forum that they should realise that it will eat into their spare time a fair bit and if that does not suit then they really shouldn't even think about it, or if they go ahead but then find that they can't cope then they should pass it on to someone who can.
