I'm inclined to think the former, but with 57K up for grabs I can't believe soem crack university team isn't considering gloving up
 
The Eggheads need a few more questions like, "What rappers catchphrase is, "shizzle my nizzle"? etc, those seem the only questions that stop them usually.
 
This chap could sort the Eggheads out :)

Kevin is quite clearly the only egghead that you wouldn't want to choke to death after spending 5 minutes with them.

Chris' inane ramblings about the latin name for a novel written in 1123 by some chap from the Farne Islands really annoys me. Answer the question man - just do that, no bonus points for telling us he had blonde hair or died during the crusades etc. :(
 
They're all irritating tossers but the one that really gets me is that stuck up cow Judith Keppel ~ you got lucky you old bag, you're not the brain of Britain that you make out you are!!
 
I knew the TH jury could be relied on to come with a measured and considered response to the question :laughing: Who would win? No. Which order would like to kill them in ? :D

I've worked out who I want as my team coach on the university challenge team? Derren Brown!!!

Now I've noticed the eggheads have a habit of answering the other teams questions with their body language, CJ is terrible for it. Derren Brown could easily train the opposition to note the answers thus.

I would suggest that they be made to answer in xhosa, but the barstools would probably go and learn the bloody language. Whose that prim and prissy one whose admitted to pooring over Rothams year books in an attempt to improve her knowledge of football :eek: Jaysus christ woman!!! Just play the game sometime it's more interesting I promise. Could you imagine what being married to an egghead would involve. I'd strangle her I swear, within a week

Myself and my associates are big fans of Eggheads and remember you fondly from our college days. The highlight of our week was a bottle of Hardys Crest Sparkling consumed during your Radio 4 slot. A question which we argue frequently is who would win, The 'Eggheads' or the champions of University Challenge?

I was tempted to ring the BBC and suggest it, but couldn't find what looked like an appropriate number.

I think the students would beat them under 'challenge' format where buzzer speed is critical, and they do get more popular culture questions on there. Eggheads is basically multiple choice, and under that format it would be close. Any one prepared to price it up :D
 
I watch Eggheads most evenings as I'm usually eating my dinner. I do know that there have been some occasion where I've got practically every question right (though it seems to be getting harder, or I'm getting stupider).

On only one occasion on UC have I got a load of questions right - and I watch it all the time. It was a bit crazy, basically every question just fell into an area I knew about, there was even one about the subject I was studying for PhD and horse racing :clap:
 
I wouldn't be so certain that the eggheads wouldn't be able to handle more difficult questions. Afterall two or three of them are prolific winners of much harder quizzes. I suspect that CJ and Daphne would be the two that struggled. His strength appears to be more in lateral thinking and problem solving, and she's got nothing like the portfolio of the 15 to 1, mastermind, and brain of Britain winners that the others have.

We could always put a TH team up against them and scoop the 58 grand :nuts:
 
I don't think I've seen any of the eps of Eggheads where they lost, but I imagine you have to try and get rid of at least two of Kevin, Chris and Daphne to have a chance in the final round.

Hopefully we would - if it was the University Challenge format especially as both Kevin and I are extremely quick on the buzzers.....

If it was Eggheads format, it's all down to who gets the killer question at the end. I mean who knows the words of the Romanian national anthem - (keep watching for this one!).
