Good morning.
Today sees three horses running that interest me.
It's been a torrid time for me of late, as detailed in previous blogs and my betting has decreased accordingly but I feel that these must be done. However, it's no surprise that I cannot feel confident at all, since so many of my picks seem to be running inexplicably badly. I box on and hope that, at some point, my racing eyes return.
Tremorgio - Sandown 3.55 15/2 Ew
I made a big note after his run last time out and remarked that this one has lots of improvement to come over staying distances. It may be that he'll be needing 2m or 2m+ eventually but I just can't ignore the promise of that last outing. It should be noted that the run was against older horses and that the horse has only had five rules races in all. I think he's shown that he'll improve for the experience of his last run and the return to racing against 3yo's.
Millers Spirit - Yarmouth 8.10 4/1 Ew
I've been waiting to back this once the ground softened and here we are. It's been raining steadily in Norwich this morning. I think he's shown enough on his runs so far this term to give him a good chance. I should've backed him last night at 13/2 but left it, only to find that he's shortened considerably this morning. I wouldn't be grumbling, mind, if he was the winner. Any winner would do for me.
Quiz Test - Leopardstown 8.27 4/1 Ew
Another that I should've backed last night when I could've got twice the price. This is another that I've noted in running and I won't be deterred at that shrinking price; I just hope it lengthens before the off. 5/2 now, I see. Blimey. I don't like these daytime gambles.
3 x Ew singles
Ew Trixie.
So, there you go. We can have a giggle as they trail in with 'no apparent reason for the poor run'. It's the way of things at present.
