Can't find anything on Timalex. Not a Classic winner but won a string of races in the 1970s for me in my teens. Had it as the 4th selection in my ITV 7 one Saturday but was withdrawn so went on fav(lost) rest won , small stake but probably would have got a few hundred quid back for 10p. A few years later I was waiting for a first timrunner for a 40p roll up and about 28 quid back , it won 11-4 fav called Broadsword - unlucky to lose the follow years Champion Hurdle

Was with Gordon Richards as a 3-y-o, but I think he did his winning for another Lake District trainer in Billy Atkinson. He was noted as a hard ground specialist, which would have left him stuffed these days.
