He jumped a fence rather than a hurdle! RP should be more concerned about not having a real feed for race card details as they won't pay the data owners. Like many I've deleted the RP app and I'm now using Irish Racing for all cards.
Taking the wrong course is one thing - jumping a fence in a hurdle is another ! I can only assume this has something to do with his recent bereavements.
I'm just wondering if Scu has been critical of the paper recently (I wouldn't know) and this is some form of revenge. If there's nothing there then it is a highly unusually critical headline. Can't see Scu doing many interviews for the paper in the near future.
I don't recall any racing paper ever taking such a line. Very tabloid as James says.
Most of us on here have been critical of some of Scu's rides at some time or another but I'm not sure anyone deserves this in a sport in which they are putting their life on the line every time they ride.
Managed to zoom in on the article to read it (might pop into the bookies later) and Scu appears to have handled it very humbly. Good on him.
RP is a tabloid rag...the masses flocking to read Segal every Saturday. On a side issue, be interesting to see how Scu handles Massannie in the 6.30 @Bangor.
Whatever you say about his riding Tom Scudamore is definitely a good, honest and decent bloke and i've only just seen this but frankly the headline is bang out of order. Cheap i'd call it.
