We could always try our friends on Final Furlong to to make up the ten . I'll start the bidding at $50.

Walker, there is always Ladbrokes play money tables. Go to Avenel which is quite competitive and nothing but pride at stake.

yeah i used to do the play money thing on Ultimatebet.com but after after a while it gets quite boring. I think i started with a grand and ended up with about 14mil, took all the fun out of it!

How does tournament play work? Everyone puts in the cash at the start and gets the same amount of chips then winner takes all? If so, I would be interested in a couple of weeks.

With ten runners the winneer gets 50%, the second 30% and the third 20%. With five or six runners the winner gets 70% and the second 30%.

That must be the way the guys at work do it. They want me "to make up a six". They insist the most I can lose in one evening is £20.

I downloaded the Poker from Betfair and went in to try and play for fun but got nowhere, in the sense that nothing happened. Am I doing something wrong?

We play quite regularly and one of the lads has bought a set of chips (on ebay)
we usually play £10 (1500 chips) for the first game with unlimited buy ins for the first hour plus a top up if needed. This can last a good couple of hours.

We then play £10/£20 freezeouts as there are normally 7-10 of us and some go home earlier than others so usually at the worst if I don't have a pick up I will spend about £50/£60.
Depending on how many of us, we pay the same % as Brian mentioned earlier.

I'm sure others will agree that it's so different to playing on line where you can't see the whites of their eyes  also using chips instead of money is far better in my opinion.
