Triumph - Goshen

Haven't been as excited about a Triumph ever. I think Goshen is a monster and runs over all these.

There are question marks though:

a) jumping (2 hurdles in the last 6f helps if that is in fact a problem. Having been all over Sir Erec last year, hopefully he gets to that point in the race). Jumped fine in behind when taking a lead mid race at Ascot. Has the engine to overcome any small deficiency in this.

b) Keen early. Allmankind looks less tractable and is hardly going to be held up. Gives Goshen's engine more chance to grind him into the ground in the last 4f. The harder they go, the more happy I'll be that he will outgut these up the straight.

b) Going right handed at those hurdles. I have a theory that ye can all laugh at. The 2 flights in the last 6f helps his obviously. Hopefully he will be positioned sensibly. But given that the horses on the new course tend to end up on the stands rail and rarely try to nip round the inner turning in, the fears are overstated. I think he has enough in hand in any case.

Excited about this race as much as any at the festival.

Interesting that Rory Delargy was on some podcast where he couldn't have Goshen at all for this.
The top 3 in the betting for this all seem to race prominently so could possibly cut each others throats.

Aspire Tower for me. As long as he keeps to the left hand side of Goshen as to not get ran out at the last fence

It's lucky people keep saying outrageous things on that podcast or nobody would ever listen to it.

I'll be place laying him on the day anyway...he'll either blow his load before the tape goes up or win easy.

Biggest bet of my life tomorrow. 9s, 8s and 7s ante post and still think he runs away from everything tomorrow.

I can’t make my mind up literally. Have Aspire Tower e/w anti post at a big price.

Not bet race for me so hope it wins, Goshen that is for you. Have a feeling though this Solo could be a monster, 750k is some coin to spend on a horse to jump a fence.

I’m on antepost at 7’s and I’ve gone in again yesterday.I agree with You,I think he has hell of an engine and will gallop them into the ground regardless if something wants to eyeball him or not.I don’t see anything laying a glove on him.

Felt for you Declan. That was a proper good shout. The league of extraordinary judges were all over it.

Not sure if you are referring to me, but not Declan, met you once at the races a lifetime ago if that helps. Maybe you are talking to someone else.

The photos of the horses back hoof getting caught in its front hoof were tough to take today. As he made the mistake, for a split second, thought they'd get away with it.

Should say that it's good to have you back regardless.

Edit - figured it out Declan Rix is hawkwing on twitter. Unfortunate coincidence.

Sorry. Getting you mixed up.
