TV Tonight - Gambling Theme

Relkeel,
i must be missing something :D

If i bet black and you bet red-

in the example in my previous post i completed one sequence in the 21 turns of the wheel for a profit of 3

You completed 5 sequences for a 15 profit in the same 21 turns with one sequence remaining to be completed.

Being one of lifes optimists i reckon that either black or red wins most of the time, zero wins when the other two don't.

Also it does not follow that because red won last time that black or zero must win the next turn.

I have a feeling that 0 does not run up sequences very often.

Therefore the probabilitiy of sequences like the described from the book are not unlikely.

I agree that if you go chasing 1 2 8 16 32 64 128 256 512 1024 2048 4096 8192 etc will eventually break the bank.

Well try it if you don't believe me Derek. Good luck with it.

Meanwhile, it may be of interest to you that, since this thread was created, share prices for Stanley Leisure and Stakis have remained fairly stable!
