I tuned in to British TV tonight to get a sense of that election that you seem to be having at the moment. It looks to me if the Tory party is attempting to turn it into a two issue debate - ie No Nasty Foreigners and Gypsies Go Home.

It seems odd for a grown up country.

Not odd for the Tories though - Aneurin Bevan's legendary comment has never been more apt .

 On Saturday, obviously my busiest day of the year at work, our local Conservative MP put a bet on with me, shoved one of his leaflets in my hand and asked me if I would be voting for him? I politely told him I really didn't have the time to discuss politics with him as there were people queing out the door :teeth:

Slightly diverging from topic Griffin but - is that Faringdon between Oxford and Swindon ? My sister teaches at the local comp if so.

What did he back can you remember ?

Yes it is between those two. Mine are too young for the comp school.

And I don't know what he backed because he filled in a mark-sense slip and I was too busy to really take much notice

It's the eff em all except two,and they can eff one another Party.
