Alnwick had 33 runners out of 61 entries 54%
Brocklesby had 43 runners out of 93 entries 46%
Helsmley had 61 runners out of 107 entries 57% ...which is a briliant amount for a rearranged fixture !!
Badbury had 98 runners out of 154 entries 63% and Will Biddick trained 5 winners !!!!! Ended up with 9 races as the Restricted was split on the day so an average of 10 runners per race which many NH courses are gagging for ;) ALL my reporters tell me that it was a very well run meeting to which my standard reply was "Area Secretary was Jinnyj .......what do you expect :cheerleader:

Badbury today was pointing at it's finest. The meeting secretary to be fair needs no help - she is the best around.

Backed four winners (should have been five if the jockey in the Ladies had switched her stick through and prevented her horse running out as it had the better of the eventual winner)

First was won by Biddick for Tom Malone. Very nice horse, Six Two Three, who his contact said would have been sold by the time that Malone landed as he was mid-flight)
Lucas Murphy showed fellow novices he is a class apart in the nervous riders race on Bass Rock
My beloved Macklin made his seasonal reappearance a winning one when reeling in Famous Clermont.
Olive let me down in the Ladies (another winner for Biddick and a first for jockey Molly Armytage, daughter of Marcus)
My friends horse, Jeu de Gagnant won the first div of the Restricted (took 8s) - he's very very nice and was given a superb ride by Anna Johnston
Biddick trained the winners of the first two divs of the regular Maiden - Amroth Bay (nice unraced 6yo) and also Dollanstown which I backed to win along with Southgate Avenue making his UK debut for Liam Corcoran (dad of Rian who I chatted to - he was buzzing about his professional season so far - "living the dream" were his words)

Ah - apologies Gordon! That will be my rushed counting of those marked off in my race card which was a bit soggy so I obviously missed one.

This week’s Hunterchase’s are as follows:
24/02/26 Leicester The Quorn Novices Hunterchase at 16:20 (6 run)

24/02/26 Leicester The Cottesmore Open Hunterchase 16:50 (5 run)

25/02/26 Wincanton The Pointing Pointers Dick and Sue Woodhouse Memorial Hunterchase 16:20 (6 run)
Pointing Pointers have been invited to have lunch with The Directors so it is even more of a blow that this will be the first race that I have missed since we started sponsoring Hunterchase’s but hey ho Family always come first.
Below is our racecard advert 😎

Really sorry I am unable to go. I had a great time last time I joined the team at Taunton. So much fun and we were treated like royalty.

Will there be a stall promoting the sport, Gordon? Or is the Headband stall going to be there instead?

In 4 years of being involved in The Competition on JFF & Pointing Pointer I can not remember nobody picking the winner and filling in a completely blank Spreadsheet !!! when Molly Armytage rode the 50/1 outsider of 4 in the Hunterchase at Leicester today !!!
