Wachman

He takes his time with his horses which is fine if they do eventually blossom but most of his don't and they're all well bred types. When they arrive to the racecourse for their first runs they're so unfit looking I reckon I could take them myself :p I just think he could do better with what he has.

Do you need any when you marry your way into the family. In fairness to him, he was very good with the jumpers and while O'Brien has adapted to training flate horses, I think Wachman struggles a little.

I find it hard to say how he lacks a natural aptitude for the job from his results.

Wachman does well enough with the horses he has but I'm guessing that if he came across a true star somewhere along the line, most probably, it would shipped along. Thought he did fine with horses like Indesatchel, Damson, Fracas etc.

Winning a Gp1 with Again a month after she won her maiden, suggests he can steer the correct course when the ammunition is right.

Maybe too soon to judge, but I don't view him as a trainer of a horse as a positive.

Regarding the horses you mentioned Garney, I don't remember many of them better as older horses?

He seems to be building his reputation with 2 year olds thus far

I think his specialisation in the greater Coolmore scheme of things is to train the early types. A lot of his are by Storm Cat and the like and aren't known for training on.

Well, strange you should say that Andrew Hurley, Indesatchel and Fracas were of little consequence as 2yo and ran their best races as 3yo.

Damson didnt train on, like plenty of quick 2yo fillies.

Possibly has has trouble identifying which is an early type and which he should give time to. As I said before they all turn up for their first run on the fat side. When your looking at one and it's quite clear that the horse has matured early your wondering what the fxxk he's waiting for.

He has plenty of well bred horses that make to the track he should be getting more winners.
He has a 12.5% strike rate at the Grade 1 tracks ie. Curragh and Leop.
