Wanted: A Fourth Moderator

I presume this is what you wanted, some transparency?

Edits are due to my inability to transfer PM's accurately. Happy for you to disagree, but nothing has been changed.

Maybe we can invite the John Smith's guy to moderate?

FWIW, I see no harm in topic's going "off-topic". Quite often this leads the debate down interesting avenues, and engender further discussion which often returns to the original point anyway. Moderating just to keep a thread on-topic seems an unnecessary intervention imo.

Again, I think we can all agree that the blame for all of this lies squarely with Timeform, and their 182 for Kicking King. :D

One correction, Gareth knew exactly what I meant originally, and was stating it in such a way to point out where the confusion lay.

But Best Mate and Kauto star HAVE run since their GC wins

Deep breath, count to 10 & then make a cup of tea! solves most things!

I've realised that most of the arguments/bitching etc etc is usually down to posting messages when you are wound up by a previous post/comment & after a while you realise that perhaps the reply you have given was a tad over the top & if you had taken a break/walked away for a bit you probably would not have written the post in the first place, its all too easy not to "See" a person on the other end of those fibre optics but before you respond to a post ask yourself if you would respond that way if the person was sat in front of you!

\Lets just say that i dropped a bollock with a line on the politics forum. Read it again and it was nicely ambiguous. Warbler picked it up and had good laugh and we moved on

A precious response would have invited plenty of justified winding up ....

Surely we can draw a line under the squabbles of the last few days and move on, given that it is wholly misrepresentative of the standard of debate and contributions made to the forum over the past few months.

Dwelling on petty fueds helps no one.

Have you made that tea yet BTW, Aldaniti? :D

good camparison.. and one that turned out quite amusing

Gearoid,

If you want to make a point, at least be man enough (apologies to the females on here) to make it directly, either in your post, or preferably to me, or Warbler/Trackside via PM.

The day I ever need to PM you will be a sad day in my life.

Where did the post about William Gallas disappear to?

I do know it wasnt Gearoid's doing.

I thought better of continuing along the lines of Gearoid's contemptuous posts.

For the record, since I know you have such an issue with it Garney, I compared Gearoid with Gallas ... cowardly in that unable to make a direct point with someone so would prefer to do it with veiled references.

Garney,

FFS grow up. I posted something, thought better of it (thought to let things go) and like a little child you ask where the post has gone. You seem to have edited quite a lot of your posts and you are not badgered as to why? Deleting a post is better than editing it with a '.', no?

It was let go ... Garney wanted to continue this. the PM's I posted show quite clearly who wanted a resolution to this, and who didn't.

It was over and done with on the Haka/All Blacks thread. Discussion had moved on to Ronan o'Gara. No big deal. Wheels back on the wagon, toys back in the pram. Lets move on.

It then started again when you chimed in with Clivex on Kicking King thread. Saying that I should say what I mean in an edited post, telling Gareth to be careful beacuse he misunderstood me also. Even when any person with any intelligence would have know what I was talking about - as Gareth did - but you waded in seeing the opportunity from the day before.

You then came to me PMing asking not to confuse the two days. That you were wrong on the allblacks thread (still threatened to ban me) and you were saying you were wrong unpromped?? and that I should be reasonable to you. You removed threads from Grey, and you edit your own posts (without an edit notification to notify when this is done)

You arent fit to be a moderator, and your type is spelling the death-knell for this forum.

Let me just answer you and i'll leave it at that ...

I asked you earlier why didn't you take the moderating position, if you are so critical of those that do?

I politely (without need) explained to you the misunderstanding on the KK thread .. if you can't accept that, that is your issue, because it was a sincere one and the PM's show as much. A problem with this forum is anyone without a certain level of knowledge should almost accept an attack or abuse from others.

I deleted Grey's posts (not threads) as they were unhelpful and were after I had tried to get things back on topic.

'wrong unpromped' - I dont understand.

Anyone who thinks it okay to call someone a 'fool' and an 'idiot' when asked to stop will get a ban, whether it be from me, or another moderator. You need to accept this, and accept where you were wrong.

I didn't know I had to tell everyone when I edit my own post .. let me know any other rules I may have missed.

Garney, unless you have some previous history with Andrew Hurley that I have no knowledge of, (and frankly have no desire to know of) that is the sort of confrontational nonsense that we could do without IMO. The whole Munster/Kicking King thread spat was just that, a one off, and for you to go making a mountain out of a molehill is not necessary or helpful IMO.

That is not to say you are the only guilty party by any means. Lets just draw a line under it and move on.
