I could fancy three tomorrow.

Vafortino - 2.35 Goodwood 8/1 Ew Really pleased with that run. The mile suited just fine. Im thinking this might be a Lincoln horse.

When he won the Victoria Cup early doors, I thought he did so comfortably and have kept an eye on him since. In fact he's had a break, only having run twice since that Ascot win.

When I saw the distance of 1m, I was sceptical and pessimistic, since he's out of New Boy, who I imagined got 7f horses. Just as well I checked. It seems that the progeny get up to 10f horses, no problem - a weight of evidence to support that.

Lightly raced, back fresh for an autumn campaign over a new trip that may well benefit.

7May22 Ascot (7Gd, RPR 106)
We knew Vafortino was a good horse and he ran in some very good races last year. He travelled well and we knew he was going to have a chance at the end as he stays further than this trip. I think there are more good races for him - Kevin Philippart de Foy, trainer.

What's not to like?

Bronson In Blue - 3.10 Listowel 10/1 Ew Jumps very well, this one but he runs in snatches and looks like he needs some headwear, to me.

That was a steadily run affair at Balinrobe lto. One thing, though: this fellow hurdled very well, I thought, and was tapped for toe, really, as they sprinted. He stayed on stoutly, mind . He was running in UK not long ago off 125 and now runs off 118. I hope for a decent pace.

Heroic Holly - 7.45 Kempton 10/1 Ew Yes, further is the call. That was nice late, steady headway, wasn't it.

This is a very lightly-raced filly who showed promise lto at Windsor, looking like she's getting the hang of things late on. She's gone down 3Lbs for that last run and I think the 10/1 on offer looks tempting. By Australia, she should get the trip well, may even get further. Pieces are on first-time.

No, not today, Goughs.

Three is enough for me and this horse, along with the trainer is a bit 'in and out' for me. Good luck luck if it wins but so be it.

Well done with Vafortino mare, nice one but I cant understand why they run it in a £15000 claimed with a handicap mark of 101.
There are 2 premier hcaps over 7f and a mile with 90000 to the winner to come so it seems strange to me.

Looks like a Lincoln horse to me, mate. That was my thought last night.

I suppose he'll rise 4-5Lbs for this, won't he?

Since the race had 'Claiming' in the title, does that mean his handicap mark doesn't go up? Where did I hear that?
