Redhead, it's like a miniature Epsom. Specialist course, unsuited to long-actioned types and any who need it soft. It's semi-U shaped, in other words, open both ends so, in the words of the Immortal Lester: "If you don't pull up fast enough, you end up in the bloody allotments!" Beautiful views to the Sussex Downs, the sea, the top of Roedean School along the coast road, and Beachy Head on a clear day.
 
Back on the subject, there is a village near Cirencester called Ready Token and another that sounds great with a broad Gloucestershire accent called Furzenleaze.
 
It's a good prep for Epsom, Redhead - Goodwood is far more gently undulating than either Brighton or Epsom. But if a horse likes Brighton, he'll find Goodwood no problem at all.
