I see Alan Alda has been nominated for an Emmy (supporting actor in a drama series)

Considering the performances Walt Goggins and Kenny Johnson gave in the latest series of The Shield, i think this shows that the Emmy`s are just as overtly political and shite as the Oscars.

For those of you interested, a rather lovely looking box set of all 7 seasons of The West Wing was released in the US a couple of months ago. Thanks to the current weak dollar, the whole lot (150+ eps) comes to £100 after shipping from Amazon.com (you may have to pay import duty on it when it arrives).
