Thoughts for Saturday
Thunder Rock is out of the hurdle at Wetherby. I'm not sure why. Nevermind. Glad I held off an ante post bet on him.
In the Charlie Hall. Hang In There (E/W) has run so well in so many high class handicap chases, with a feasible 8lbs to find on official ratings. He'd need a couple to seriously underperform to win but stranger things have happend. He'll do for me each way.
Over at Ascot, my old friend Malystic (E/W) runs in the 2 mile handicap chase and gets his decent ground aswell. He ran a cracker last time out and it was lovely to see him back in form. Each way, why not, eh.
Over at Del Mar. As said on the Breeders thread, I fancy Emily Upjohn (Win) can land the turf. I wouldn't begrudge old Rebels Romance, but I really believe this will be a hotter renewal than what he won two years ago.
In the classic, the special horse City Of Troy should win. I can't help using the pinstickers each way guide though and am having an each way on longshot Pyrenees (E/W) as perhaps he can out run the odds in this higher calibre race and run into a place. If Vertical Blue could do it at similar odds at Longchamp a couple weeks ago when I was actually on, you never know, eh.
Good luck all tomorrow, keep making it pay.
