DONC 6:50
TIRIAC
IT JUST TAKES TIME
2 x FC's - 56/1 & 58/1

It Just Takes Time will try to grind it out from the front end and use it's stamina, but may not be able to hold off Tiriac, who looks sure to be coming late.

--------------

In the Donc 8:30. I don't think Hunky Dory will aprreciate soft going (even GDSFT). I certainly don't want to risk it, as that was an opinion expressed in my notes. ("Enjoyed fast ground at York, might prefer closer to GD - GDfm, but wouldn't want it on the slow side").

LEIC 8:40 WATCH AND SHOOT
The CD and ground (by race time) will suit, but 9/4 in a 3yo race doesn't get me remotley excited. 1 point for itself and 1 point for a danger/suprise, so a bit pointless. I'd be amazed if it were out of the frame, so an ideal candidate for an EW double (if it stays the dead 8).

You’ve picked a hard race in attempting to solve the 6.50. My eyes were drawn to Sergeant Pep, but not overly excited by 11/2. Will back Law of Design (best price 28/1 with Bet365). After 2 good initial efforts last season, he hasn’t beaten a rival in 4 subsequent goes, albeit the first of these was the Royal Lodge. Has run 3 shockers this season, but now dropped to 6f, in first time blinkers and on the soft going he won on last season, he offers some value of only 80.

Both are in my book. Had thought about Tiriac EW, but missed the 10/1 EP (and just missed the 7's too) as couldn't decide between them. Both look ready to go well. Tiriac could have struck LTO imo, so strong indication it's back in form, is nicely weighted now and loves a level course on SFT.
Arguably, IJTT might be better over 7 now, but maybe not, is dropping in class and 3lb below last winning mark (first time it's had the ground since).
I didn't see many other live contenders in the race, 2 I think plus a possible.
28/1 about it being between the pair?

Soft ground at Doncaster my arse. It's GDsft slowest. "When the ground turns wet, don't bet",

I don't have time now, but on Sun/Mon I'm ditching every horse from my book that I think needs GDSFT or slower. Anything that needs more than getting it's toe in a little is going. No rain forecast, then betting can contiue. I'm done with it once and for all. King Kong with stick says SFThvy, GTFOH. 50% of the workload, 80% less risk.

Tomorrows NAP with some more mudlarks at Yarmouth likely ot be running on GDfm.

DONC 5:30 LESLEY'S BOY 25/1
YARM 6:40 ARCTIC DAWN 15/2
YARM 6:40 LUNAR ORBIT 7/1
YARM 8:40 MUSTAZEED 14/1
2 x EW Trebles

DONC 5:30 LESLEY'S BOY 25/1
YARM 8:40 MUSTAZEED 14/1
1 x EW Double

DONC 5:30 LESLEY'S BOY 25/1 (NAP)
1 X EW Single

I think the ground was riding too fast at York and Chester for Lesley's Boy. Also had what looked like a tough draw at York. Rated 75 now and drops back down into a class 5. Orr back onboard. With no more rain forecast at Doncaster, ground should be more suitable, but does need to get it's toe in. EDIT - No more rain at Doncaster and it looks like it'll be too fast again, it's currently slow by about 0.13 per furlong. So by tomorrow at 5:30, yeah, it's going to be fast side of good. Fuming.

With you on Lesley’s Boy, again (can only get 20’s though, unfortunately).

The time of that 6.50 today was pretty quick, especially as I was expecting soft. Law of Design scraped 4th for me, but softer going would have helped improve his chance.

Same with Tiriac
Tiriac could have struck LTO imo, so strong indication it's back in form, is nicely weighted now and loves a level course on SFT
It's just a lottery with soft ground, too many variables. I'm done with it. Anything with GDSFT or slower in the description and I'm not reviewing the meeting or betting at it.

York 7.13 Vince L'Amour

One or two reasons to think he can run well tomorrow. He's back at York, a course he has won at before off a 7lb higher mark. He ran better last time with first time blinkers and a tongue tie too. Any cut in the ground will work in his favour. About 70 percent of my hunch really depends on how he's been training at home the past fortnight, truth be told, hence market support would be noteworthy. I see the early signs are he's a positive in the market and that's just swayed it.

I'll pay my money, take my chance.
