What are you backing Today? Part 2

Equality - Newcsatle 5.25 - is on the comeback trail.

In the past he's kept some high-class company and this is no group race, is it.

The handicapper has relented and I'm not fancying the joint favourites that much here. For start, Quinalt must need further this 5f, surely. The same could be said about Germanic, I dare say.

Down in the weights, 9/1 just seems like a silly price to me. It's a proper Ew bet, I think.

They're not taking any chances with the McManus trio in the handicap chase at 3.55 Naas, are they; the top three in the market. One might argue that it's a guessing game with two of them being their first handicap chase.

Be that as it may, I have to pay attention to my note from November over the course:

Goraibhmaithagat

09/11/25 Naas Beginners Chase 2m Soft

Well, I have to say, that was a patient ride indeed. The jockey certainly bided his time. Staying on at the finish and certainly never nearer, he’ll surely benefit from a further trip.

Very interesting.

So here we are back at Naas and up to 2m 4f. There's no way I couldn't back this so he's my one for the day, whatever. Currently 11/2, I took Ew at 9/1 and 7/1 last night.

Well, not a bad run and although I'm disappointed with him being out of the money, he'll drop further in the weights and, given he ran well for a long way here, it could be they win with him soon enough.

Good luck it's the only local race i looked at, a tricky one, I was considering Raglan road? Good luck

Unlucky Yorick
Nice run and backed Ew so small profit.

I think there's a decent handicap in this one along the line; maybe over further. This race was run at a decent pace, given the going.

He has a full brother in Cadatharia, who won over 3m and does stay that distance, as proved by his excellent 4th in May in a super-fast 3m chase. Although placed today, I thought Goraibhmaithagat was not ridden vigorously and it looked like a 3m or 3m+ handicap could be the plan.
