A new topic on singing.

The Flawed - Boys from the County Hell.

Martin
ps. found a great Irish music site so obsessing over it this afternoon

Matchbox 20 - Could I Be You

I've been singing it all day in my head - must have been the last song playing on the CD player as I walked to work!

I am being constantly plagued in my head by the dreadful songs from the kids disco that were played every night of my holiday last week in Corfu h:) One in particular called Cartoon Heroes and I feel suicidal everytime it enters my head :angy: I managed to replace it with Everyday I Love You Less by the Kaiser Chiefs this afternoon but since you've made me mentioned that horrific Cartoon Heroes song it has now expelled the Chiefs h:)

My raceday colleagues cringe whenever we get horses running at Lingfield with names that remind us of songs. Michael Hills walked past us last meeting, and predictably I let rip with "The heeeelz are alive, with the sound of mew-zeeeek...".

They dread LUNAR RIVER ("Moooooonrivvaaahhh"), INTO THE BREEZE ("the breeze and I"), BEAUTIFUL MOVER ("Beautiful Dreamer") or AMAZIN ("Amazin' Grace") running. I caterwaul hideously to each one, and yet they haven't offered me a good enough bribe to shut up. MR TAMBOURINE MAN is viewed by them with particular dread as they sometimes get treated to harmonica effects as well...

Do any of you do air guitar/phantom drums/hand harmonica to accompany any of the songs? C'mon, 'fess up now...

Yesssssssss! Someone as bonkers as I am! I love phantom-drumming to that fantastic intro to Law & Order (or is it CSI?). Anyway, it's a pounding drum riff (she says, having no idea what that means) and I love pretending I'm thrashing away on the drums. I must say I also attempt to skip about like Mick Jagger whenever 'Brown Sugar' or 'Jumping Jack Flash' pops into my head. At about twice his body weight, it's not a pretty sight, and these are well-built flats.

My air guitar to Sweet Child O' Mine cannot be bettered
except for my version of Spirit Of Radio by Rush. I have to play drums as well :D

I always get stuck in my head the last song I had on in the car on my drive home from work.

This evening, I have mostly been singing "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite" by REM

My in-car invisible drum kit has to be seen to be believed  and I often get strange looks from fellow motorists when launching into an extended solo, and you know what, I don't give a toss. My space, my right to go loopy if I so wish.

Krizon - CSI have used Baba O'Reilly, Won't Get Fooled Again and Who Are You (all by The Who) as their theme music, all of which feature splendid drum sequences.

Ah, thanks, Happy Jack - it must be the Baba O'Reilly drum sequence, then, as I screeched merrily along to The Who's sets. It's really a terrific work-out for the upper arms! I must see if it's available on CD - certainly one I'd like to have.
I like the idea of the invisible in-car drumkit. Can you get it through Halfords, and will they invisibly fit it at no extra cost?

I have to admit to playing the odd riff on my air guitar - my steering wheel has, on occasion, transformed itself into a drum kit too.....

"And at what point did you lose control of your vehicle, Madam?"

"Um, ah, I think it was when I went awopbopaloobopabiffbamBOOM! officer..." :shy:

And pretty impressive it is, too AC. Okay - on a slightly similar theme, along with the songs we're singing and/or playing imaginary instruments to, who will admit to acting out the lyrics at the same time? I used to find 'Ghost Riders of the Sky' pretty nice to twirl a ghost lariat to, while making riding-a-galloping-horse movements with my arms. Not recently, though, that would look silly. I'm grown-up now, so I restrict myself to surfing poses during old Beach Boys replays.
