We are about 30 miles from there, in Hitchin, I know Stony Stratford as I have a friend who lives in MK and I worked in Bletchley for a short while.
I will be watching from the Anchor in Hitchin and coincidentally there is a Coral shop just across the road from there as well.

Bletchley - Did you work for BT?

They are crafty those bookmakers.....

I drive down with the old man in the wee early hours of Wednesday morning from Edinburgh, arriving in Chipping Campden and settled with the first pint in the volunteer arms just before the national hunt 4m. Never had a problem with the crowds on the final two days.

i tend to watch it at a place called .."EC towers .under.. the influence"

never too busy..luvly comfy recliner and en suite

Problem is EC, there are proposals to remove TV's from prisons, especially the mental health one's.

You may have to get a dodgy connection on your PC. ;)

They are starting hunting again this weekend, was only the respiratory form there and the suspensions were only precautionary. They are happy now that the danger of spread has gone, and it should be ok.
Victor dartnell's lot had the neurological form of it - much nastier And harder to control or recover.

The word from my environmental/flood colleagues at work is that unless there is a proper dry spell AND strong drying winds between now and the second week of March, we're looking at 'soft' going on the first day. Which could possibly mean many of the this season's 'funny' results being replicated at the Festival.

I'm travelling down on the Tuesday from London (£48.50 rail ticket), getting to the course for about 12.30, staying in a Travelodge in Bristol (45 mins away and £29!) Tuesday night, and then training it in to Cheltenham on the Wednesday. In the Best Mate Enclosure, where I was last year. Absolutely love the place!

Had an e-mail from Cheltenham this week announcing that they still had seats available for Members to buy on level 3. Five months after they went on sale .

Shows the effects of the financial situation. I remember Brian H bemoaning a few years ago the fact that he had after years of being in the same seat missed out one year despite sending his form off the day it arrived .

Whilst you are either struggling to obtain a ticket for Gold Cup day or to find the money to buy one doesn't it fill your heart with gladness to read this story from the Gloucester Echo

Lily Allen has been inundated with offers to take her to the Cheltenham Gold Cup following an Internet plea.Through her account, @lilyrosecooper, she said: "If anyone wants to invite me to Cheltenham Gold Cup day I'd be totally fine with that."
Plenty of replies flooded in, inviting the star from Cranham along, as well as offering to be her personal tipster for the day.And it seems to have paid off for Lily as Cheltenham Racecourse got in contact with her directly to offer her a ticket.

When times are good the regulars get kicked to the curb? Nice business model.

There's been another outbreak (tho not 100% confirmed yet) of equine herpes in the Cotswolds, dressage yard this time.ataxic horses, one recumbent with a decision today about its future. Don't for one minute think it will affect cheltenham, but interesting that its popped up again in the same area. A few of the hunt horses are still affected, but on the mend.Worryingly, horses go in and out of dressage yards all the time competing and having lessons - hopefully it won't spread.

Just found how to link on my phone - get me mastering technology... http://www.beva.org.uk/news-and-events/news/view/374
