Is Grandouet going straight to the festival without another run? When was the last winner of the CH to do so with it's last run before the turn of the year.
Errr! That would be Rock on Ruby:lol:

It's honestly not a problem Nicky was hoping for a canter round and as easy a race as possible just to keep his eye in. He's been in fantastic form since finishing 2nd to Zarkandar and Nicky never has a problem getting them absolutely spot on at home when he has to. If he could get See You Then fit with the legs he had he should have no problem getting Grandouet 100%. It's not fitness he's worried about it that Irish winged monster from across the water that scares him and everyone else.

He is almost certainly going for the Supreme by the sounds of it - I assume Nicky will run River Maigue otherwise Barry G might have got to ride Jezki after all .

It is worth noting that MTOY prices fluctuates with every quote which is a pretty clear indicator no one knows nothing. If RM hacks up tomorrow what happens?

There is a lot of mileage in this yet.

I think you could throw a blanket over Zarkandar, Rock on Ruby and Grandouet. If Hurricane Fly is 100% then he is the most obvious winner for me.
Out of the blanket crew, Rock On Ruby has done nothing wrong and I would back him every time over Grandouet...Zarkandar more of a worry

Its a shame ned buntlines done for the season or he could have trumped the whole bloody lot!!

Yeah agreed euro I was fishing;)
I'm just not sure about MTOY in the hustle and bustle of the supreme and a breakneck gallop.I might be wrong but IMO if it looks too good to be true.....
My opinion is they'll run him in the champion,I don't necessarily agree but circumstances dictate that it's gonna happen I'm reckoning

I honestly believe these conditions will bring about the best in MTOY, links. He is a tremendous traveller in his races, and a quicker tempo might help his jumping - which has room for improvement, imo - gain a little more fluency.

I have some reservations about just how highly the Betfair form can be rated, but I doubt we've seen the best of MTOY yet, and I reckon a strongly-run race like the Supreme is certain to be, would provide the ideal conditions for him to demonstrate that.

Barring an absolute crawl, I doubt MTOY would have a problem, whatever the pace turns out to be.
However, jumping hurdles alongside seasoned, top class horses is a different ball game to anything he's experienced thus far,and that might be where he's at his most vulnerable - were he to go for the Chanpion..
