What's Your Festive NAP

he should be your lay of the season if you think he is an 11/4 shot..good luck with it
should be 11/4 for me to get involved taking into account the risk of him doing the same as last season, I wouldn't lay at 7/4 6/4 but 1/2 is all day lay.

expecting same to happen as last season isn't logical..seeing as he never put a figure up like his last run last season
RPR has him at 170 last year when 2nd to DB, now 173 on his return.. similar in their view and taking Somersby yardstick with 12 and 14l respectively its hard for me to ignore the similarities. I'm happy with AP on him for CC, and lay him now when so short maybe recover the CC stake in case Nicky does it again...

you wouldn't lay an 11/4 shot at 7/4?..really

you must be heavy into laying SS though surely at 1/2 when you rate him 11/4..looks like a seasons opportunity to me..i'd be laying me nads with that price difference

 I' won't take the correct price as I'm not building a book, I'm looking for long term value based on my (maybe erroneous) judgement.. Anyway thanks and wish you the same! FWIW Vyta Du Roc & Cloudy Bob e/w for me!

Spock would rise from the grave reading such drivel..........It is most illogical Captain

Best 2 miles chaser of all time won by 14 lengths last time out and you think 1/2 is a bad price.

If they back him like they did at Cheltenham he'll be 1/3.

Altior in the first at Kempton is the NAP at 6/4
Also think Nichols Canyon should be odds o,n so had to back at 13/8
My EW bet is Full Shift in the nov handicap chase at Kempton. Didn't try a yard at Newbury, down 3lbs and will love course and distance. 6/1 is very fair

Dolatulu at Wetherby in the Rowland Meyrick...won the race last year... ran well last time at Aintree.

As far as form goes, he's bombproof.

2.55 Wetherby Smooth Stepper

The first 4 home from the 28 November race SS won are on my watch list, two have run up to press but both fell, and SS was upped in class as well last time so was going to struggle and not be able to make use of the lbs in hand of handicap i think he has anyway...
was a bit surprised they put it in that race..then again..they must think him in front of mark to do that.

The race that day was particulraly noteworthy as the overall time was similar to Wakanda's race who won off 145. On its own..a pretty useless piece of info..until you look at the time of both winners from the 3rd last..again very similar. That puts the first four home as ones to watch in handicaps. SS only got a 3 lb rise for that..should have been 13 imo. The only fly in ointment is drop back in trip..but the going and long straight could help counteract that and hopefully will be ridden very handily to bring stamina into play

Also holds an entry the next day over same CD

Should Wetherby fall to the weather my banker would be to oppose NJH's 5 time winner Altoir with WPM's in the first at Kempton...Open Eagle who looks set for a big future over hurdles

12.15 Leopardstown Coney Island

Ran a very decent speed figure against Woodland Opera, good enough to win most Maiden Hurdles. The winner runs in G1 company tomorrow and the 3rd Potters Point will take some stopping next time. They beat the rest of the field 22 lengths. Should take this.

Alcala 1.40 Winc
Didn't quite see out the trip in the fixed brush at Haydock do dropping a couple of furlongs will suit and on the face of it off 125 looks lenient.

1/3 for Faugheen ain't really my bag so will have an each way tickle on Hargam to nab second
A flatter track suits him and there wasn't much at all between him and Old Guard a fortnight ago.

My nap is in the same race as yours Fonz. Herbert Park at 6/1. The best handicapped horse in the Pipe yard.

I've had several more bets today but I'm deep into Don Cossack, and have the two of them in a double, so the pair of them or even one of them would make for a very good day.

i'm happy for the day now..good luck guys

Good man EC
Have you spyed anything on the sand today?
I was tempted by Nezar in the 2.05 but thre doesn't look enough pace in the field to work with.
