When You Were Born

Sadly, like some others, they were still working on the concept when I was born so I'll do a Diver and go for the number one on my 50th:

Robbie Williams - Millennium

Oh dear!!!

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen...
Same as my youngest sister who was born 17/8/82.
Anoraks will tell you that was the day that Assert won the Benson & Hedges and Gorytus won the Acomb.

Who said they'd never heard of the Goombay Dance Band's Seven Tears? Shocking stuff. It probably knocked The Lion Sleeps Tonight off the top spot.

I'm lumbered with Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep (Middle Of The Road).

Four Tops - Reach out I'll be There.

Griffin - Figaro was excellent - think it even got a spoof cover from a soap couple? Which went something like

"Long ago, outside a chipshop in Walthamstow
Stood a young biker called Greasy Joe
He was the king of the Motor Show.
He was keen - off down the highway like Barry Sheen
Doing his best to look very mean
'Till he me ? on her new machine................etc etc

Anyone else remember it or who it was by? Or am I barking?!

Rod Stewart - I Don't Want To Talk About It / First Cut Is The Deepest (terrible version of an outstanding PP Arnold song)
You old fuddy-duddy HJ ~ I quite enjoyed it.
