Which day of the Festival are you most looking forward to?

I just love that first day, meeting and greeting the same people by the same bars for as far back as I can remember. Touched base with people I love over the hambone whilst homing in on the track. 4 days of pleasure. Grassy .Brian,Paul, Eamon, David and all the rest of you, looking forward to it.What a supreme this year promises

Champion Hurdle has always been my favourite race since the days of Persian War and the Supreme and the Arkle with the prospect of a new future champion makes it the best day for me. BUT!!!! watching Sprinter Sacre even if nothing takes him on will be the highlight of the meeting for me. Just watching him, the way he travels and jumps outdoes even Arkle..not saying he's better just more spectacular.

Can't wait and pray he wins easily, which is becoming the norm, and he comes home save and sound.

I'm having a year-off, Roddy - see you in March 2014.

Tuesday as a spectacle but Wednesday this year as its the only day I'm travelling up to.looking forward to seeing sprinter even if it is a non event.Look me up for a pint on the Wednesday,I'll be the one doing handstands when Bondage wins the coral cup.

Wednesday because it's the only day I'm going, but usually Tuesday for the anticipation, that roar and the Supreme-Arkle-Champion Hurdle triumvirate of top-class champion-crowning races in quick succession.

Amazing how keen we all are to lose our hard earned money :D Just goes to show just how exciting a meeting it is

Having long been prone to enjoying travel more than arrival and being of a generally perverse nature anyway, the day of the holy week I look forward to most is Cheltenham Eve and that splendid threesome of NH meetings at Plumpton, Stratford and Taunton; a winter Monday so unusual and a fitting, satisfying aperitif to the four days in excelcis

Prior to the addition of the fourth day - which I still have reservations about - the best two hours of my entire year was on the Thursday: that almost too-hot-to-handle succession of four steeplechases comprising Gold Cup, Foxhunter, Grand Annual and Cathcart. A glorious and suitably draining final act, though I believe there was some race called the County Hurdle after them, which was presumably run as a moral-booster for the cleaners during their unsavoury work after the gold rush

I find it difficult to single out a day now, though if pushed it would still be the Thursday (which I believe many regard as weak) simply because the last four races comprise three of my beloved chases with my favourite Hurdle race - The Stayers' - chucked in amongst them

The whole shebang remains about as good as it gets though doesn't it?

Though, naturally, the Hexham Four-Miler knocks lil' ol' Prestbury into a cocked hat:)

Yep, betting-wise, don't ignore the aways. All sorts of 'interesting' runners hiding there;)
