Ah yes, let Talkinghorses make those tricky choices in life...I can imagine the similar threads that could follow!!

I would choose Changing Lanes. I have seen the other two and I hear Changing Lanes is pretty good.

I voted for "The Graduate", though if you have cable or satellite movies you also have "Hidden" on Sky Cinema 1 and "RoboCop" on Sky Movies 2.

Hidden was one of my favourite films of last year.

I cancelled Sky Movies because most of it is just Hollywood guff. Joined Lovefilm.com instead and would recommend it to anyone.

You had to pay very close attention to the final scene - and even then it is down to your own interpretation.

I saw the two together if that's what you mean but were they partners in crime or just friends? And if they arranged the whole thing...why? It cost one of them their father.

Brilliant film though and that fact I'm still thinking about it now shows its power.

My take is that they collaborated to make the tapes. Some of the shots were filmed from a moving car - which the younger one could not have made alone. Some were in the house, which would have required a break-in whch was not found.

Why? I think the younger one was trying to catch his mother having an affair - in one of the earlier shots a male (possibly one of the family friends) was seen leaving the house, plus he showed unexplained hostility to his mother on a couple of occasions. For the older boy - to avenge what happened to his father? I don't think his father's suicide could have been predicted. Their meeting at the end proves they know each other and why else would they be friends? Different ages/backgrounds/upbringing.

However there are many other theories out there different to mine and the Director isn't too keen to let the answer be known.

But along with the spectactular way in which it was shot the not knowing just makes me like the film even more. I have watched it twice so far and plan to watch it again.

I've never seen any of them :shy:

I boycott The Graduate as my friends used to call me Mrs Robinson because of my younger boyfriend, and from what I understand that is most definitely not a compliment.

But are you actually going to watch the winner of your poll, Betsmate?

I bet I'd probably look at the forum choice and then decide to watch one of the others!

At 9:59 last night The Fugitive was in the lead and that is what I watched.

Oh, bumbumbum - tonight sees the first in the final series of the wonderfully funny 'Life on Mars' versus the second/final instalment of the Trial & Retribution 2-parter which I watched last night. Oh, decisions, decisions... if I thought they'd re-run LoM, I'd watch TaR. Maybe I can do TaR during the commercials... oh, so many choices, so little time...

I am going to try Life on Mars even though I missed the first series. I will video CSI.

Yes, I missed the first showing, too, but caught it on the re-runs, and realised what I'd missed. Really original way to put ye olde tyme-travelle across, I thought. I love CSI, too, but haven't worked out how to use all my new bells and whistles to record things for later! Thick, or what! :(

I hope that I can pick Life on Mars up from nothing. Looking forward to it.
You should have no problems if you no what its actually about.

Its a great series.

Great tonight - caught the main, silly end of Trial and Ret (glad I didn't bother with the whole shout - the two main characters are becoming more unhinged with every episode!) and watched LOM instead. The 1970s detail, from the decor, the cars, and the clothes to the tunes is great. I keep going 'oh, yeah!' when I recognise some long-last tune I used to like. Then watched the second episode over on BBC4. Super, smashing, marvellous!
