I'm going to give District 13 a go, too. The only 'Parkour' I saw was in that advert last year - I thought it was all done by CGI until I read that it wasn't! Amazing - a bit like a really good skateboarder - you don't believe it can be done until you see it.

What I like about it so much, Pee, is not just the things that haven't yet been invented or improved, but whole mindsets which are out of whack with today! I guess we're used to 'back in time' films where people want a phone, but they're back 10,000 years ago, so there isn't one. LOM's little pleasures are in realising that casually being on the take, belting suspects up a 'bit' before interview, trampling all over whole areas around a crime scene, etc., sexism, racism, and homophobia were much the norm and not considered at all unacceptable to the practitioners. And all just a generation ago.

The plot is hardly taxing and the acting won't win any oscars but I enjoyed seeing just what it is possible for the human body to achieve.

This is another goode example that I found on Youtube:

Parkour

there was a program on bbc1 last year that watched - amazing stuff.

and tehy had a top gear race in Liverpool agains two lads doing it - its was incredible - they won and were at teh top of teh liver building.

Shaun of the Dead was bilge, wasn't it? Just a bunch of home movie twits rushing around shrieking and squealing idiotically. Really peurile stuff, and I can now save myself the pain of deciding whether to bother with 'Hot Fuzz'. Thanks, Pro!

I really enjoyed Shaun of the Dead and will be seeing Hot Fuzz next week.
Well i won't spoil it for you, but if you enjoyed SOTD, you'll like Hot Fuzz.

Just finished watching Venus, what a great film, O'Toole and Phillips are excellent as is the girl, i dont know her name, however it is alittle slow moving and there is alot of foul language and if you can get over the plot outline of an old man falling for a young girl (some might find it distasteful) then you should give this a watch its a great film with some great one-liners and in essence its about the acceptance of old age and the importance of friendship.
