Why would someone have they're tile roof jet washed off? my next door neighbour has had someone on the roof yesterday for five hours & again today (still up there) so thats nine hours so far with a hose on all that time  so much for a water shortage  I could understand if the roof water clogged with moss etc but its not, they only had a new roof done 2years ago  & these were the same people who reported us to the waterboard for using a hosepipe during a ban :o not that it came to anything as I knew I could use the hosepipe even with a ban as I have five dogs & they have all been trained to go to the toilet in an area of concrete 18x10ft which I disinfect & wash down everyday, when the ban was introduced I contacted them to see what I could do as I have a degenerative spinal problem so I can't carry heavy buckets, I was told that if NOT washing down an area would cause a hygiene problem then I can use the hosepipe :P when the chap turned up to ask if I had been using the hosepipe I invited him in & guess what? nextdoor hadn't told them we had dogs as if they did they would not have even bothered to come around  he also told me something interesting (only if you have a dog) you can wash your dog with a hosepipe even in a ban & lots of people do this all over the garden   ;)

Because they've got nothing better to do with their time or money. Infact they could be my delightful neighbours  In my street I'd say at least 95% of the residents are retired. Me and my family of youngsters are definitely frowned upon  Mr GG's dad says it's because the elderly people around here moved here for the peace and quiet. It's not as if my girls are out in the street at all hours of the day and night. Apart from when we leave the house to go out, the only other times they play outside are when either me or Mr GG are there to supervise, and then it's simple persuits such as scooter riding or roller skating. They're hardly cider swilling teenagers

Our neighbour to the left doesn't like cars being parked infront of his house. Last week with so many workmen here it was inevitable that sometimes there would be a car or a van outside his house. So he took to getting up early, moving his car from the garage and parking it in the road, thus blocking anyone else from parking there. His wife happened to mention to Mr GG's dad that they didn't object to someone parking there for an hour or two but certainly not all day  I know that's a lie because he's come running from his house before to tell Ians brother to move his car. David used some colourful language and quite rightly pointed out that as his car was taxed he could park it there if he so desired. So they preferred to look at their own car from the living room windown instead  On Saturday I had no choice but to park further up the road and the old bat that lived at the house I parked infront left a post-it note saying 'Do not park infront of my house' on my windscreen! Why haven't these people got better things to do?????

Oh the car thing   we have a caravan on the front garden during the winter from around the middle of Nov until mid March as it means we can plug the dehumidifier etc into the electric, we store it at a farm site in the other months as its a lot easier to hitch up & go, anyway about three years ago we got a vist from the council asking us to check our deeds to see if we are able to keep a caravan on there & if not we have to remove it, so we checked & on our deeds which were written in 1901 even though the property wasn't built until 1950's it says No wheeled carriages which would in thery mean a caravan but as someone from the CAB pointed out that also means cars, now being that the entire street has turned their front garden into a car park due to the fact that we have a secondary school at the top of our road & its a narrow dead end road, we phoned the council & told them what our deeds said & they duely told us we would have to remove it, we said we would as soon as we got a letter asking us & the rest of the street to remove all "Wheeled carriages" from the front gardens & to park on the road basicly causing carnage at the two schools runs down the road each day :o
We never heard anything after that! I wonder why

You pay your tax towards the maintenance of roads, so you can park on any road you like, provided it's within a legally-designated area. I'd just bang on their doors REALLY LATE AT NIGHT and confront them with their stupid, illegal messages, and tell them that if they don't want you bashing on their doors late, not to harrass you with useless messages, unless they want reporting to the Council for harrassment. You can report people for noise, and you can report people for harrassment. In fact, you can park your car right across your neighbour's access to his drive, if he's deliberately parked in front of his house to block you parking there, since he's clearly not using it at the time! Do that a couple of times, and ask him how he likes tit for tat.

The guy is probably some sort of sexual deviant, or maybe just visit`s whores. He feels guilty, unclean and ashamed.

He therefore has a cleaning fetish, a fetish so profound and all-consuming that it manifests itself in every part of his life, including his roof.

Are I got it !! it means if your a naughty boy or girl you will have warnings like yellow cards I suppose!!! then a red card to be banned or sent off..

if you left click on the % figure it opens a further drop down to say who as warned you......... but I dont know why I should have this ?is this someone being racist?????

Why have i got a "Warn 0%" below the date i joined up on my panel?

I agree there should be rules to stop yourself from being prosecuted etc etc but one can have too many does and don’ts and this will only add to others not posting as well in the near future.... too much censorship is not a good thing at all!!!! Free speech with in the board’s parameters must be paramount...........Personal attacks!! Yes! I agree should be made taboo…..

I was not aware that there were any on going problems on here and I use it daily, but last week I was adding new stuff and a new tower, so I was not on here, as often last week! Did I miss something??????

Oh ffs, Merlin - get a grip!

Everyone has this warning bar (including Col and all of us Mods).

Strangely enough, this board does NOT revolve around you and the rest of us aren't constantly thinking up devious ways of persecuting you.

Whether you believe it or not, this forum has been consistently losing good members because of the attitude of some on here and we'd like to do something constructive to stop it. You may liken it to school but then maybe the response to that is to stop acting like a child in the playground....

Euro, there has been a significant reduction of posts made by at least ten previously very active members, due to their dissatisfaction with issues which have been raised often enough on here, for everyone who visits regularly to have been aware of them. The new rules may help to address some of those issues.

Julie....Well instead of getting on YOUR high horse read what EURO posted I would not of posted anything regards the WARNING if he had not signalled it out to me and how come he said he could read mine?? Because I STILL cant read others under their AVATARS or does logic escape YOU as well????

The reason we are losing members is because of the one person moderating which a lot!!!! Not only me have already highlighted and posted on here............... I suppose you'll come to realise that and close the stable door when all the horses have bolted?????

My response as being likened to school only highlights how someone tries to treat mature people, like kids, not because of their mannerisms or are YOU also oblivious to that????

Merlin - Euro said he had one, he didn't say he could see yours. Check his posting again - and that's because, my friend, he can't! You can't see his, if you'll excuse the expression, and none of you can see each others. Only Moderators can see ALL of them - and that includes our own!

It's just a way for the site to track who's being naughty and who's not. When someone collects a full set of warnings, they are shot. End of story.

Merlin - if you persist in your constant use of UPPERCASE which equates to being shouted at, you will be the first to be warned off, I can tell you.

Quite frankly, if you really want to know the truth, yours is one of the names that continuously gets raised when complaints are received, because of the way you will not moderate the style of your posts.

You have demonstrated this perfectly with your last post - again, all about how you must be right and the rest of us wrong. Read Krizon's post again and then read Euro's. He cannot see your warning bar. You cannot see his. End of story.

It is not all about Ardross' style of moderating and if you had any generosity of spirit, you would acknowledge that James has changed his moderating style over the last few weeks and made a real effort - which is a damn sight more than you have done or, I suspect, will ever do.

She's done it again! Mr GG's dad is parked on the road, not outside her house but on the other side of the road and there is a post-it note stuck to his windscreen :angy: Mr GG says I should calm down and not get angry but if I see the miserble old wench outside I'll be giving her a piece of my mind

I live in a block of flats, outside of which is a pay and display car park. A gentleman parked his ridiculous Lexus 4x4 and set his alarm. The alarm was then going off for 3 hours until he returned. I left a note on his windscreen advising him that his alarm had been going off and asking him to either not set it or stay within earshot. The note was glanced at and screwed up ( i heard him turn the alarm off so was peering from the window) so I popped down and asked him if he understood. I was met with such abuse it was unbelievable. Ii am not used to rudeness, particularly from middle aged people and didnt know what to say. Anyone got any suggestions?
I think this should be worth points on the licence for inconsiderate noise making
