Winding down?

It was always my plan to wind down my studying/punting at some point. To be honest, I thought I'd have done so by now because moving to Spain was meant to be a new chapter but fvcking Brexit and then Covid panned that idea.

I'm wondering if the RP is now forcing my hand.

Today's edition of the Weekender doesn't have any Flat results pullout. Instead, it has a QR code for accessing a PDF.

Now, I don't get involved in the AW stuff 99% of the time so at this time of year it's no big deal to me personally but I'd imagine there are AW enthusiasts out there who rely on paper form and if this is how they're taking their 'service' forward and expanding it to Turf and Jumps then they can go and take a running fvck to themselves.

I'm hoping this is a one-off due, perhaps, to a very limited number of AW races in the last few days but I'm always deeply suspicious of the people running the RP and whether they truly understand the form student (as opposed to the guesser with a fancy mobile phone). I've fired off a strongly worded email to them but don't expect to hear anything before tomorrow at the earliest.

Rant over.

[For now...]

They've replied to refer me to a notice in the production info section.

The TV special stuff, by the way, is just advance RP cards and the 'tipsters' couldn't tip shite out of an overfilled bucket:

Yes, one of the first things we did after the Brexit vote was to become Irish citizens so we also have our Irish passports but our money still comes from the UK so we're not entirely insulated from the UK financial shitshow. We also have a lawyer and a bank account in Spain so that the move should be easier when it does happen.

Glad you were able to get an Irish passport. I think that anyone that voted for brexit ( especially the politicians that pushed for it) shouldn’t be allowed one. Used to love winter but the older I get the more I want to live in a warm climate. I’m currently in hibernation.
