I have been down to see my brothers yearling, "Henrietta" today, and managed to capture this lovely photo. B)

Henrietta is not actually in this photo. She is a bit of a superstar and refused to have her photo taken until she was ready.

"Hen" is a lovely Piccolo filly, and will make a lovely early 2yo. Bruv said he would sell her to me for £15k! I reckon Richard Hannon will buy her at the October sales. He likes early 2yo's! B)

I like the third from the left. Obviously understands the importance of smiling for the camera.

Thanks folks! Only glad to share with you all. The next picture they all face to the left as my brother ran off to have a wee behind their shelter and their eyes all followed him. Talk about follow the leader. One moment they all look left, then all look right. The funniest thing is I took polo's (always have them in my bag) obviously something they have never experienced before. There was a lot of funny faces, and then half crunched and whole polo's spat out on the grass. Horses at this age are an absolute joy to behold. I was in the field with them, and they were all immaculately behaved. One of them, she was far smaller than the rest of them and a wee bit skittish. She managed to pick up my brother's camera and ran off with it, scared herself and quickly dropped it. If only I had that on video.

Mum's built like the proverbial outhouse, Kathy! - what a chest - who is she?

Lovely photos - what bunch of posers! You were lucky to get them all in a neat line and heads up. There's usually always one who manages to look like an RSPCA case, but not there! I took regular Polos and no-sugar Polos to Julie's last time. Some don't like them at all (REACH THE WIND and BARRANTES are not Polo fans), but ONE ALONE munched them greedily, until I put a no-sugar Polo on my hand for her. She smelled it, then shoved it onto the ground! She rejected two more, then ate a regular sugary one with relish. There's no getting away with things, sometimes.

Newmarket in October Songsheet. As you can imagine I will be going. B) You are right, she is very sharp and has an excellent temperament. These yearling are due to be prepped very soon, and I love seeing them when their coats are gleaming, and they have so much innocence about them. The little feisty filly in the same paddock was a real character but extremely small for her age. I love to follow their progress if I can and see how many ever reach the racetrack. My bro was saying he thought only 3 out of 10 foals ever find their way to the racetrack which is a very scarey statistic if it is right.

Krizon, I am not sure what the mare is called. She has told me... :shy: I'll find out for you. My memory is getting worse by the week. I am sure she said the sire was Miler? She is the lady who looks after any of my horses that need a break or have been injured. Her yard is primarily a hunting yard tucked into a lovely village Nr. Cheltenham. Every time we go to see her (about once a month) we go to the local pub which does excellent roast dinners on a Sunday.

K - Ellie is porky enough by all accounts - please feed her something low sugar and fat on your next visit !

:D Can a "poof" be female too Simmo? She definitely tried to give me a "Glasgow Kiss" at one stage. Tart!

Very odd for me this year as it's the first in ages when I haven't had any yearlings to sell! All went as foals.

The season kicks off in a couple of weeks at Deauville and it will be interesting to see how much the market drops - I'm convinced we're in for a downturn.

DG, thanks for the horse choir - I had it before on the previous forum, but when my p.c. died painfully in front of me, it went, too, so I'm glad to have them back!

Bruv has just offered me a 50% share in "Hen" for £3.5 k????

Songsheet, is that a good deal or is he trying to rip me off! B)

I may be daft but not daft enough to get between a bro and his sis!

Actually, even without seeing the dam's pedigree, it doesn't sound bad to me at all Kathy.

:D Very dimplomatic Songsheet. I'll get the breeding for you. I think he said both the Dam and the Dam's dam were winners but I am so busy at work I haven't had time to check.

It would mean I would have to pay 50% of the prep at about £14 a day. I think that is quite a good rate isn't it?
