So, are you a Hooker then Kathy?

Like simmo I don't want to sound pedantic (who, me?) but I think that you'll find that "the great Edith Blyton" was, in fact, the great Enid Blyton.

There is always someone in the wings waiting to catch me out or correct something I have said.....and I just knew it would be you that would use the word Hooker in that context Brian. Why do you think I didn't put his name up in the first place! I was also having a bet with someone on the forum as to who who would correct my spelling of Ms Blyton. You scored 100% Brian! Well done! :D

"he sells percy daltons peanuts outside chelseas football ground on matchdays from the back of his tranny"

Is that a Tranny van PR, or a man dressed as a woman wearing a rucksack full of peanuts? :D

1. Mark Knopfler (because he is brilliant)
2. Paula Radcliffe (because she is the gutsiest athlete I have ever seen, despite
what the people who have never ran 3 miles in their life might think)
3. William Hague (the best prime minister we never had)
4. Mohammed Al Fayed (because he is funny, and mainly because he rescued Fulham F.C.)
Muhamed Ali (because the man is a legend)
I was just idly searching the site for some Lester Piggott quotes and i came across this thread, and more especially Ted`s list of "heroes"

My heroes would be those dolphins that saved yon guy from the shark. As far as I'm concerned all humans are wankers.

I wonder whether Elizabeth I shared Larkin's opinion of parents?
   I've read a lot about her but what I still don't know is how she felt about her father putting her mother to death :brows: Can't say I'd be very forgiving of such a person!

She had been brought up to believe that her mother was scheming, an adulterer & possibly a witch so she wasn't overly enamoured by her by all accounts. She was supposedly fascinated by her but no great fan as she had been brought up to believe that she wasn't a nice person. Sadly, it seems that Anne Boleyn was the victim of a Tudor witch hunt instigated not only by her enemies but by Henry VIII also. Most historians now believe that she was innocent of adultery & set up by Henry as a means to dispose of her - especially as she was a very rare type in being a woman who didn't conform as the little lady, as was the belief of how women should behave in those days.

Troodles - shurely shome mistake with one of yours? And I'm delighted to see my cyberson has returned to the forum - welcome back, Iandarlingboy, I trust you'll continue to annoy and peeve as before, but remember... Santa hasn't been just yet!

Stupid man knew that before he married her

My heroes.

R.G. Mitchell, Ivented the planes, condusive to Britains success in The Battle Of Britain.

Alexander Fleming, Discovered Pennicilin.

DR. Christian Barnard, Pioneer of cardiac surgery.

Pete Townshend. The inspiration behind many of todays musicians.

Cheryl ( My Wife ) For putting up with me for twenty six years, she should be cannonised :D

The surgeon who saved our sons life when he was seven years of age, his speed was crucial, our son is now a very healthy 23 year old, has been in the army all due to this excellent surgeon, we can never thank him enough.

Our avian vet who saved one of our birds life many years ago, he only had a 10% chance of survival, our vet had not the time for the blood and culture results to be returned, he worked on instinct, gave him the appropiate drugs, was proven correct when the results came through, our bird was hospitalised but slowly against all the odds recovered, he is now such a healthy bird ( I am touching wood ) he is now in such good condition our vet says he looks like a show bird. Thank You so very very much DR. Roy Earle, you have taught Cheryl and myself so very very much.

Lastly but certainly not least, all of you on TH Who have given me consideration, maybe at times when I have least deserved it......A Big Thank You. :D
