So I'm bored out of my mind at work and I'm trawling the markets of the major sporting events of the next year or so...

Each year I try to place a couple of antepost bets on events in multiples to try and get a nice win. Last year for example I had three of Mullins cheltenham winners in a multiple with a F1 driver in the w/o mcclarron market, would have paid around 40/1, only he didn't exactly perform...no harm done really.

Some things that have caught my eye so far include castlebar Mitchells to win the all ireland club football, (finishes March 17th). They are around 12/5, they play the favs next who I have seen and have not been impressed with. The other semi final is very weak. Castlebar beat the defending champions last time out and are very impressive.

Anyone able to get a price on Rory Mc Ilroy winning a major? Firewall playing havoc here...

Everton in the without the big 6 market, they have been impressive at times, they are 5/1 with 365 behind favs Leicester. If the wheels come off at Leicester they are the next most likely. Can also be done Ew..

Inclined to leave the racing alone until NRNB, with the obvious Mullins contenders all options here.

So, there's a starter, what have you got lined up that may help a man get a few bob. Reasons for selections please.

Best selection will be judged by me and wins 4 good wishes and a well done.

I'll have an F1 no-hoper for you when they finish winter testing, but it won't be available until March.

Cleveland Cavilars e/w for the NBA Championship 11/4 with BetVictor is easily the best bet you can have in sport right now. Settles in June.

What makes you think they can best the Warriors this time Slim? Steph Curry is having a monster season.

If I had to nominate an American sports bet I'd take some Montreal Canadiens for the Stanley Cup if 6s+ is available.

Cleveland are a bet at 1/2 to make the final. Once they get all their players there fit they are worse case scenario equal in ability with the Warriors. Janes, Love and Irving is a scary lineup. They will cruise to the final, their biggest worry is the boredom between here and May.

11/4 e/w 1/2 1,2 with BetWay and BetVictor is insanely wrong.

Arizona Diamondbacks 33/1 William Hill

I've not got anything on this yet but it's on my wish list.

Interesting shout. They've been re-loading with youth in a similar under the radar manner that Houston used and then BOOM spend 200 million big ones on Zack Greinke. I like that they signed him off a divisional rival also.

PDC Darts

Peter Wright can be backed at 28/1 e/w or

28/1 to win the tournament with William Hill and 28/1 to finish runner up with Betfred.

Greinke is a flat-track-bully, is he not?

He is, which is why staying in the National League was important.

Yes like Kershaw he is better in the regular season and there's always a chance now that he has his mega bucks deal he won't have quite the motivation but his ERA was ******* insane last year and my thing about long range bets on American sports is just try and get one to the playoffs and go in again.

They are one arm short but catching a playoff team at 33/1 is a no brainer.

What's his draw like? I can't be tits'd looking myself.

Not good. I've listed his worst possible draw below but at the same time combining those two bets gives you 14.5 on the World number 4 making the final. You'll have worse bets.

Worst possible draw:

Brown
Winstanley
Chisnall
Lewis
MVG
Anderson

Phew.......that is a toughie alright.

You reckon the price might hold-up well enough until R2? I'd like to see him get past Brown, and see if any other seeds on his side get KB'd before going in.

Of course he does.......but I'd want one of the dangers on his side getting knocked-out, before I was for getting-on. He's good is Wright, but he has a lot of big hurdles to jump on the way, and could be toast as early as meeting Chizzy, as there's nothing between them on a dry-day - and Chisnall is bang in-form.

The bet becomes more attractive with one of the top-four seeds on his side getting bounced, but at what price is it a play, if one of the four is chipped? Please go away and furrow your brow calculating the answer to that question, rather than telling me something I already know.

Whoever comes out of the NFC will be winning the Superbowl this season. Arizona Cardinals at 13/2 are my pick. If you're after a back to lay opportunity the Patriots look absolutely nailed on to be the AFC representative.

Worrying about Keegan ******* Brown has cost you at least 8 points.

WFT do you want from me?

I've been on the Old Fashioned's since 13:00...........I'm melted (you have know idea how much effort this took).
