Me!

I forgot it was on tonight until I just seen it advertised on the RP site.

I'll try 9.50 Vertiginous, 10.30 Hidden Connection, 11.10 Cairo Memories, 11.50 Barossa and 12.30 Glounthaune.

I'm very sweet on Vertiginous in the first. I know it can be said of a few but the idea Brian Meehan is sending this to Del Mar for a nice night out is beyond me. I reckon this outs run its odds in a big way.

Hoping for Love tomorrow night. :) Her form with Alpinista couldn't have worked out better and she has every right to run a big race.

Worst Breeders Cup I can remember but have had two bets; both tomorrow.

Emaraaty Ana e/w @ 13/2 in the Turf Sprint and Skybet 5 places, 4/1 Love was too good to pass over in the Filly & Mares

I dont watch american racing very often but ROCKEMPEROR came up in my alerts so it must have caught my eye on a rare watch.
Dont know if it's up to it but at 28/1 betfair I've had a small bet. 11.40

Big fan of the Breeders Cup but this year looks well below average -no European superstars in Mile or Turf and nothing from America that gets the heart racing.
I think the Europeans will struggle at Del Mar.

Exactly that Luke, while not being a huge flat racing fan in general I normally look forward to and make a (Saturday) night of the Breeders Cup but for the reasons you mention, this year not so much.

Hopefully it’s a one off after the recent regulations.

I thought we’d struggle here in 2017 too but took the majority of turf races with 3 out of the first 4 in the turf sprint

Del Mar is a tight, tight track and often favours a handy type. So the Europeans probably will struggle. I worked there in the early 90s....lovely place.

Damn... I actually backed Twilight.....! (Yeah bit of after timing but I literally back them during the parade)

That was a fascinating race. The winner Pizza Bianca easily the best in the race. Daring ride which could have easily gone wrong.
Moore has given his a gem of a ride in 2nd.

Yes and the winning trainer has a decent outsider in the shape of Gufo in the 11.40. I think 20/1 or thereabouts is a more than fair price on him. I like following O Brien horses over there as a rule of thumb but I'm giving Bolshoi, Japan and Broome a miss in this race now.

Not much luck last night but I'm including Gufo with Love, Mother Earth, Hot Rod Charlie and Glasga Gal for tonight's Lucky 31. I'm not sure if I should do it win or each way yet?

Good luck all.

The commotion before and after the Juvenile Turf colts race last night will live long in the memory as will the booing.
Amazing only a few bookmakers paid on both results.
Big night for Ado McGuinness and P Twomey; hope all goes well for them.
Sisfahan my ew choice for the Turf race.
A great racing occasion always but wonder how long it will last with Global warming worries; if anyone wanted to get in a strop about racing and carbon footprint they only need clock up the airmiles of International performers, human and equine and accompanying press; Matt C, Luke H, Nick Luck and Rishi covering for three Uk based Tv channels is surely overkill; at least Sean Ban stayed at Naas!

BC Turf - I've taken 8/1 Teona. The Vermeille didn't look flukey and she only has the fav to beat, imvho.

Buick on fire.
There are very few finer pace judges in the game, imo, and he must have been exremely confident in Yibir's abilty to ride him as he did. A sure sign the horse had more in the tank, and needs noting where ever he goes, from here.

Absolutely Reet.
I thought he may have been a Melbourne Cup horse after York.
Watched on Racing UK and Jane Mangan is a star, informed, entertaining and able to talk.
That unseat at Cheltenham was the making of her, as it was Dick Francis off Devon Loch all those years ago.
She is bred to talk and entertain though; her dad would make the cats laugh.

Years ago he was MC at p2p awards dinner.
Damian Murphy was recipient of a special award after his Festival win on Whyso Mayo.
Jimmy sang Damian's special jockey qualities as follows
" He had ridden quality horses in point to pints ; horses like Stroll Home, Beef or Salmon, Lord Noelie and Montys Pass.... and could not win a race on any of them !
That takes a very special jockey "

Racing is Racing from Dromahane to Del Mar.
Enjoy it all while you can.

I must remember that line. Made me laugh out loud.
