Looks like Danny's two have been declared - thank goodness for that, I really could have done without all the blubbing if they'd been taken out.

The Charlie Bighams would of been out the window for next weeks shopping list i can tell you that much. Still looks like a few potential dangers left in including the Skelton one so not home and hosed yet but at least I should get a run for my dough. Cant ask anymore than that.
 
For what you pay for a Charlie Bighams (laughingly) "For Two" meal I could batch cook enough to live on for a WEEK.

I'm sure you could do if you got off your arse.

Anyway, we're spared the tears - result.

I haven't had a bet yet and that's a good thing as the beast I was looking at has been taken out.
 
Firstly I never batch cook as im weird about eating anything the next day, tbh usually there's nothing left by the next day. It'd be like dining in a gulag waiting for anything I've left over.

Secondly time is money as they say and time spent thinking about ingredients shopping, cooking cleaning up afterwards I can't justify that much time and effort on a day to day basis. Although on the odd occasion I do cook properly these days I'm reminded how nice proper cooking is.

One day when im broke and end up living in your garage Ian hopefully you'll be kind enough to feed me some garlic laced treat and show me the error of my ways.

Sometimes like most gamblers I often wonder why I bother. However the look in the Mrs and the daughters eyes when I tell them the strict bread and water regime they've been on since D'art D'art failed to shine in the Pertemps final need not apply tonight just makes it all worthwhile. Charlie Bighams all round!
