Jokes

No wonder numerous younger adults detest my eternally self-centred generation.

Music Festivals are meant to be the edgy, NOW, province of late teenagers and 20 somethings, not retro Care Home fodder.

Rod Stewart ffs - it's the equivalent of having had Vera Lynn play Woodstock. 😂

I'm not into music festivals - never have been - but I do think our generation needs to let go and accept these things being for young adults.

Our generation would have been aghast if the middle-aged/pensioners had rocked up to see the middle-aged/pensioners performing at iconic music festivals in the 70s and 80s.

I watched Rod Steward and I was quite impressed.
Well put together and his voice isn't what it used to be but ffs he is 80 and still drew a large crowd.fair play to him.
Great to hear some of the old hits.

I have a French friend who calls him a Plastic Bertrand - he had a decent bet on Pour Moi when it won The Derby, there was nothing ca plane about Mickael Barcelona's "game of fine margins" celebrations for him.

He is a season ticket holder in the dear seats and usually turns up at the bigger league matches and European games (which he seldom misses).

Plastic Bertrand never misses an Anderlecht home game - and he stands on the terraces with the fans, eating Belgian chocolates, drinking Belgian fruit biere and discussing Hercules Poirot. #realfan
