    TV coverage

Wouldn't like to be paying money for Racing TV's coverage. Viewers shouldn't have to put up with split screens if coughing up 25 quid a month. And how come the mercenary Persad is presenting from Leicester when Haydock has much more prize money?

Forum member jailed - Chris Beek Racing - Kachina Racing

I seem to recall him liking young female jockeys riding for him, wonder what the thinking was behind that? Someone mentioned Leonna Mayor on Betfair.

Forum member jailed - Chris Beek Racing - Kachina Racing

How can he now be penniless? What's he done with all the money? Has he salted it all away?

Brough Scott said last years Gold Cup was the best Gold Cup he'd ever seen, now he says yesterday's Ryanair is the best race he's ever seen. A poor attempt at justifying his position and his hefty salary. A good presenter in his day but brings very little to the table these days and should be...

Luke Harvey laughing like a hyena on Get In last night, when Ted Walsh said Martin Blackshaw had been killed not that long after riding Churchtown Boy in the National but that his death had nothing to do with the National - Bizarre

    Female Jockeys

Off the top of your head can anyone name some female Irish flat jockeys and apprentices? Can't think of any but 5 stand out in Britain Hayley and Josie top of the pile followed by Hollie Doyle, Nicola Currie and Rachel Richardson with Jane Elliot and Poppy Bridgewater also doing well recently.

Handwriting Recognition Tools in use at bookmakers

Bookmakers are nothing short of licensed thieves these days. Just a shame that racing is dependent on them for an income and is at their beck and call.

FOBT stakes to be cut to £2 after all.

I wouldn't hold your breath for that to happen, to the best of my knowledge Bet365 & Skybet don't have FOBT's but neither of them lay a bet. The hypocrisy from the BHA and Rust in particular on the issue has been sickening.

Is it all over between Nicholls and Sam T-D?

Was surprised Nicholls didn't go for Fehily when he signed Sam. Suspect he regrets not doing that now.

    Rich Ricci- the future

Pity you didn't post about it last season when you were thinking about it, rather than today.

    Is Chamberlin Right?

I disagree entirely with everything Chamberlin says. I wonder how much he pays to get in any racecourse any time, nevermind just the extortionate charges that proper racing fans are expected to pay for the "pleasure" of having Madness or The Wurzels on, often accompanied by mediocre cards. I...

    Jamie Spencer

Did he have a load of horse under him? Would he know others didn't have a load of horse under them? Taking the safest move isn't always the best way to win a competitive race and can be the wimps way out. You can lose lengths and races always going to the outside and meet interference on the...

    Jamie Spencer

What exactly do you think he did wrong apart from not being psychic? Does he wait for a non existent gap to open up on the rails or go where there is a gap further out? The logical thing is to go where the gap is, if that gap then closes by the horse on the rails moving out how can anyone be...

    The 2017 Grand National

I agree, some trainers get far too much credit and just stumble along, their lack of basic knowledge sometimes when interviewed should be embarrassing but some are still successful despite this, Mick Channon being a good example. If memory serves Oliver Sherwood would not have run Many Clouds...

    The 2017 Grand National

How economic is Phil Smith being with the truth although anyone can make mistakes? He said he dropped Cause of Causes to 150 but he ran off 142 according to the Racing Post last week, so presumably will be going up 13lbs rather than 5lbs. Although he was rated 150 for the National for some...

I agree with that, both Nevison & Morrison are a complete waste of both space & time.

    TV coverage

The lack of basic knowledge by people presenting racing on tv is appalling, coverage is littered with basic errors. Olly Bell should be embarrassed at the above error but I doubt there was anyone capable of correcting him (certainly not Harvey), which is disappointing.

    Brain Power - Something Odd

Thanks Tanlic, a logical explanation. Thought Chapman was a bit slow not picking up on it last night, would have a made a nice little story rather than letting Buckley ramble on for far too long about his idea of an Ascot festival at Christmas.
