2-y-os 2016 incorporating First Season Sires

Sir Prancealot seems to be doing well and as he had a fair sized first book there'll be plenty of ammunition for the season. As he's a non-Danzig line sire there should be even more interest shown in him by commercial breeders with their Danzig-line mares. In fact he has only one line of Northern Dancer in his first 4 removes (which is becoming rarer). Not the most distinguished of distaff pedigrees and though the granddam won a listed race my eyes were drawn to the filly/mare Law and Impulse whom Derek Candy trained to win a few 5f races at places like Bath.
Sir Prancealot only ran as a 2yo and was very genuine and well-tested. His biggest day was the Flying Childers and I wouldn't expect him to get many that get 7f.

Frankel has his first entry - John Gosden's Cunco (ex Chrysanthemum, so his first ever foal born) entered at Newbury on Friday.

I think his name has been mentioned above but just in case, FSS FRANKEL has his first runner in the second race at Newbury today. Obviously it might be of interest to some.

Well, despite behaving badly in the paddock and on the way to the start, Cunco FRANKEL's first runner wins quite nicely in the end.

Over at Newmarket FSS SEPOY had the winner with Kilmah.

Sorry but I've been watching Bell's gallops again. I can't help myself.
Last year I was worried I was watching the porridge gallops. This year I don't know. He has his first runner today in Elementary. He is a half-brother to the useful Husbandry. He has only been seen once by me and he put himself near the front of the queue of Bell's 2yos. So will not be surprised if he runs well but probably should just be watched on his debut.
