2022 Cesarewitch

I see Inchicore runs and is shorter in the betting than she was. I have mentioned her a few times this season and maybe last season aswell. I'm not sure though. The Byrnes runner must have a big chance and Vino Victrix looks a big improver.

I am tempted to leave the race alone and play reverse forecasts on tricasts on the above three just for fun.

Decided to have something on Inchicore.

She is totally new at the trip and while Alan King has had one or two critics on here over the years I feel there's a good chance she will improve for the step up in trip and he has known this all along.

So what the hell. I am backing the one I would kick myself the most were I to leave her unbacked and she won!! See how I go.

I looked at the race last night and Call My Bluff came out top in my little ratings system. Is there still a draw bias or doesn’t it matter with fewer horses than usual running?

Dettori seemed happy not to be drawn wide this morning. A wide draw is hardly a help and the smaller field will reduce the disadvantage but, to be honest, I didn't look at the draw at all when arriving at my selections.

I reckon I've now finished my race bets:

Adagio 10pts win NR
AHWNN 8pts win 5/1
Gibraltar 3pts win 16/1
Not So Sleepy 1pt ew 40/1
Withhold 1 pt ew 40/1

I've also taken the odd win-only nibble at longer on the exchange for the outsiders.

The other one seriously on my radar is Run For Oscar but I can't bring myself to back him at the price [as well as AHWNN].

Vino Victrix a real mover in the market I see.

He is my main bet now with a saver on Inchicore.

Good luck all today.

Another I'll be backing in the Ces is Land Of Winter.

I've been a quiet fan of this one since his win for me at Nottingham last back-end. A true stayer, ideally he needs softer ground but I thought he ran a very promising race lto. Lightly raced, he's one I'd never forgive myself missing, like you with Inchicore, Marb.

I can't get the way Ahorsewithnoname 9/2 picked up and galloped away from her rivals at York out of my mind.

It was absolutely effortless and I reckon she'll love this trip and with AOB's out she has very little to fear from any of her rivals at the weights.

Run for Oscar beat trees I think he could struggle here.

Gibralter should prove to be the best on WPM's runners

Best outsider Bascule ew 7 places at25/1

Run For Oscar wins by 3 lengths. I thgen expect him to follow up in a Bellewstown Handicap Hurdle, well backed, in 2026.

Ah well..at least I suggested a reverse forecast.

We have to thank Slim and Al though. They knew.

I am sure some saddo out there that never posts followed the forecast in.
