70s probably THE decade for pop music and I'd have the 60s ahead of the 80s.

Shouldn't this be in the chit-chat section?

Heartily agree. Most music in the 80s were throwaway pop. 70s brought us so many great artists like gerry rafferty Tom petty,Billy joel to name a few. I do like some of the 80s stuff like omd but very rarely go to see 80s bands.

This is not one of my favourite songs, but it may be the only one to mention the Lanark Silver Bell (6:35 race at Hamilton today ).
