A happy, new, improved year to you all!

But if I'm at war with my vices, I'm not at peace... and apart from that, I'd first have to admit I'd got some! :D

May this crumbly old crone with Hamm, especially, a very successful year (which I hope makes him happy!) - on all possible fronts. Job, romance, dosh - whatever. I've resolved not to fight with him or Clivex, but to think of fluffy kittens instead and know my place. I'll be sharing knitting patterns and recipes for steak pies with you all soon.

I see I've written 'with Hamm' instead of 'wish Hamm' above. New Year Rezzie No.5: check your posts before you stick 'em up, you daft old bat!

In 40 minutes time I get free prescriptions and 10% off at B&Q [on Wednesdays only]. Hurrah! Happy New Year Everyone! [you watch; the NHS will take away free prescriptions and B&Q will go bust....]

Belated many happy returns, Mrs Hat. See you and Mike trackside again sometime soon?

2011 was a great year for me punting wise but the first two days of 2012 were worse than any day in 2011 so not a great start!!!!

Happy new year to everyone and let's hope for another great equine year with Frankel being perhaps the most eagerly anticipated flat horse in many years.

I'll settle for just 'improved' on my form for 2012! Got a call a couple of hours ago from my solicitor to say that, far from contracts being exchanged and the flat sale money winging its way, the buyer's bleedin' solicitors have come up with even more idiotic questions. One thing they're trying to squeeze - and bear in mind the offer came in the first days of October, and the contracts signed on December 12 - is an 'indemnity' from the flat's freeholder for a water heater I put in, in lieu of the very old, leaking water tank. At a cost of £70 to myself for obtaining it, no less. I've said that if they couldn't have raised this issue back in October when I returned all the legally-required questions, and wondered if they realised that the freeholder has no liability over whatever a resident does internally with his property (bar smash down load-bearing walls), then the deal is off and I'll just rent the place out.

I'm supposed to be moving out on Monday - a date agreed with their client - so to say stress levels went through the roof (again), is an understatement. The estate agent's phoned the buyer, who's still in Spain but due in the UK tomorrow - and the buyer knew none of this and had assumed all was well, and that everything had gone through.

If any of you are in the metropolitan area, can I advise you to not touch Bonetts solicitors of Twickenham with a 10-foot pole, unless you want raised blood pressure and a potential outburst of homicidal rage at some point?

It's early-evening on January 3rd, and I'm already in thermo-nuclear warfare with Hamm.

I think some kind of plaque is in order.

From a Psychological point of view;

The fact you refer this confrontation as "War" - is there anything in your personal life that you feel strongly against or strongly for?

You mentioned "plaque" - this is normally a form of rememberance, is there anything just past or upcomming that you find difficult to deal with?

You're very subjective in your opening sentance - you mention "early-evening on January 3rd" along with the idea of a plaque, I do suggest that you speak to someone if anything around this period of time is bothering you as I sense a determined, passionate, army like commitment to your corner that does raise some concerns.

War? That's no more than a hissy fit and a slammed door, you pussies! Now, one of you buy the pizza, the other one get the beers in, and settle down.

1. I am strongly for blow-jobs in 2012, and strongly against shopping trips.

2. I started a new job today. Does that count? I don't know if it's difficult yet, as I spent most of the day disecting Hamm's argument's with the precision of a laser.

3. What can I say - I'm a gobshite.

Thanks for the interest. This has helped more than you know.

That's pleasing to hear Grasshopper.

I'm here for all forum members, please take care and have a good evening.

What alarms me is the amount of work time you guys seem to have free to spend on this and, presumably, other forums. Where is your work ethic, you lazy boys? If you worked for me, you'd have parental control locks on your pc's...

I work as a Volunteer in a local Prison along with running my own Business (Very small) but it still brings in enough for a bottle of Bucks Fizz and a little of me time on Talking Horses.

Did I mention, I drive a Ford Capri.

The same one we talked about back in 1999? It's hanging on all right. I bet you belong to a Capri Fan Club, too.
